"What is it about?" he asked with a smile when she handed the scarf to him.
"It's a tradition, the girl chooses a boy she likes, if he accepts they can dance, get to know each other, years ago they became boyfriend and girlfriend now it's more about fun, to have a nice night," she said and he took the scarf out of her hands and Jae inhaled sharply.
"Can I give it to anyone?" asked Taeyong and Jae was ready to leave.
"Yes," Patricia's eyes glittered, she looked pretty in her long traditional dress with dark curly hair and a nice smile.
"You're beautiful Patricia," muttered Taeyong. "But I'm in love with someone," he smiled mischievously then turned around placing the scarf on Jae's neck and causing the boy to blush.
Jae's heart sped up and he wished to hide in a magical hole when Taeyong pulled him closer and whispered 'I love you' on his lips. Jae saw how Patricie ran away in tears and he somehow felt sorry for the girl even if he was more than happy.
"Here," Taeyong grabbed the scarf giving a it to a stunned girl that stopped next to them then he took Jae's hand and pulled him into the darkness between the wine bushes.
They laughed loud when they stumbled at the rugged ground walking down the hill till they were in the middle between two rows of bushes, the fresh night air made Jae filled with goose bumps. Taeyong's lips landed on his face and they kissed more, the other boy tried to push him against the bush but it didn't want to hold them so they fell on the grass.
"I kidnapped a wine bottle," whispered Taeyong taking one out of his jacket.
"You'fe so cfazy," whispered Jae who felt the wet grass underneath him.
Taeyong found a knife in his pocket and used it to open the wine, he took a huge sip and handed the bottle to Jae.
"Getting dfunk in the bushes, pfecious," laughed Jae.
"It's never romantic, but I know you like it," Taeyong smiled and they started to drink till Jae's head became weird, he liked this strange state without worries when he could just relax, kiss his boyfriend and roll him over in the grass. Reality stopped to exist and he removed small leaves and grass strings from Taeyong's hair while they were making out passionately and the distant music was still filling the space around them.
It was like living in private fairy tale bubble again but Jae never complained. Patricia had never visited them again but his time was so pleasant. He spent three days and nights in bed with Taeyong, and they had problems walking but were too happy to bother, and they took the boat to row a little around the village taking turns with the puddles.
It was a time of relax and love, and Jae enjoyed each day. He loved the spacious bedroom with the wooden floor and the he air, the beautiful mountain view with amazing views and all the pleasure his boyfriend gave him. It was o difficult for Jae to go home after a best birthday celebration ever when Taeyong backed a cake for him and bought one candle, and they sat on the wooden floor talking and Jae wished for many more years with his love when he blew out the candle. They cuddled under the duvet and Taeyong fed him while they joked loud. It as one of the best times in Jae's life and he couldn't acclimatize back to the rainy February atmosphere back home, to the comfortable pretty room in his apartment. He was slowly growing to the decision of moving back to Taeyong and he started to pack, but somehow moved it over and over. He needed to repeat two exams but finally after the pleasant time he focused a little and his hormones played nicer so he focused enough to get two good grades and Doyoung was proud.
To Jae's relief Lauren and Taeil were still together when he returned and Taeil planned a happy future for the two, he even bought a car from the money he made on his music and was driving Lauren around proudly.
March came and the weather was better and Jae was nearly sure he will move back to Taeyong he wanted to talk to Sicheng about it but the boy was very absent minded lately and Jae guessed it was because of Yuta who was sneaking behind Lauren and Taeil or sending Hansol and Johnny to spy on the two.
On Ten's birthday Rachel invited everyone to a house far from the city she got for the night from her frienda painter who was on vocation, and Taeil took Lauren, Doyoung, Ten and Rachel there, while Sicheng got a car with a driver and took Jae and Yuta with him. Taeyong was recording a new single and he promised to come later, and Jae sent him texts hoping the boy will be there soon but Taeyong said he's busy and he will text him when he will leave the city.
It turned out the house was on a hill and it was big and spacious and had a wine basement that Rachel decided to use to make the party roll. Her strange roommate came with her hipster boyfriend and somehow Johnny and Hansol ended up there with some girls they had probably met on the way here. Rachel was very happy, she said she had prepared everything for weeks and it turned out there was lot of food and a huge cake for Ten in the house but also so much alcohol Jae got a headache. After the official part with Ten blowing out all candles and everyone chanting they spread around the room and Jae sat next to Doyoung and waited for Taeyong's text. The evening got long and Rachel brought new bottles of beer and wine and Jae observed how Taeil came to Lauren and kissed her hair. Yuta jumped up from the floor on the other side of the room, he and Sicheng weren't that close tonight and Sicheng was on his phone the whole time while Yuta ignored him. Jae hasn't drank more than a glass of beer and was sure he wants to stay sober till Taeyong will come. He saw that Lauren got up from Taeil lap and smiled to him.
"I'll bring you some drinks," she said taking their empty beer bottles then kissing Taeil's lips passionately.
