...
There were Sicheng and Yuta both trembling and ghostly pale, Yuta was covering the boy while Sicheng's father was standing opposite them on the other side of the room with a hunter gun pointed at them.
All three were like woken up from a trance when Jae entered.
The boy looked from his friends to the man and back in shock, and he guessed the reason why the gun was ready to fire into Yuta's head.
"Sif," said Jae and the man turned to him with the gun. "Wowo, cafeful thefe!" shouted Jae.
"Who are you?" Sicheng's father was still pointing the gun at Jae.
"Sicheng's school ffiend," explained Jae.
"Leave it's not your business!" shouted the man.
"Sif I think Sicheng has the fight to love whoevef he wants to love," said Jae loud and Yuta and Sicheng looked at him in fear.
"What," Sicheng's father made a unpleasant face. "My son is not gay!" shouted the man and pointed the gun at Yuta and Sicheng again and Yuta covered the boy even more.
Was he really ready to take a bullet for the boy and Jae shivered.
"Sif, please listen, youf like my mum, so blind," said Jae and the gun was pointed to him again.
"What," the man was shocked he was an insanely rich businessman and no one was probably talking to him like this.
"Sif youf son is happy, do you want him to be happy? Isn't it the most impoftant thing. That he loves the pefson and the pefson loves him back, not stuff like nationality, skin colof of gendef," asked Jae.
"My son is not Gay!" repeated Sicheng's father but his voice was shaky.
"What about this situation now sif? Don't you see that Yuta is feady to take a bullet fof him. Isn't it pfoof enough he loves him," Jae begged.
Sicheng and Yuta were too afraid to talk, Jae saw sweat drops rolling down to Yuta's chin from his forehead.
At least his mother didn't have a gun.
Sicheng's father glanced at the boys as if he was observing a very new thing.
"But my only son can't be gay," he said. "I need grandchildren who will have my family name," the gun trembled in his hand.
"Minju can keep hef name," said Jae and the man glanced at him with anger.
"Sif you don't fespect equality at all. She's a woman but she's as good as youf son, and youf son is the same pefson no mattef if his paftner is a gifl of a boy," Jae had no idea why his voice was so strong and confident.
Maybe somehow he had the strange phantasy he's talking with his mother and trying to convince her to accept him and his choice.
"I'm not!" cried the man.
"Yes you afe," said Jae in the same harsh tone.
"Why are you talking to me. Why is it your business!" shouted the man.
"Because Sicheng is one of my best ffiends and I don't like Yuta but he is ok and he has a family and ffiends too, and I don't want any of them huft and because I'm also dating a man and my mum kicked me out of the house and fofgot I'm hef son because of it and it's unfaif. A pefent who loves a child shoud love it no mattef what," Jae felt the bitterness of his words and Sicheng's father was shocked.
His face went pale and he glanced at Sicheng in a strange way.
Jae looked towards the boy and saw that his eyebrow was swollen and bleeding. The blood boiled in him his parents had never hurt him physically.
Sicheng's father lowered the gun and stormed out of the room slamming the door shut behind him. A silence fell and Jae heard ony three quickened breaths.
"Jae you saved our lives," whispered Yuta who was panting as if he had been running.
Sichneg sobbed quietly and Yuta closed him in his hands and hugged him tightly.
"He's huft," said Jae.
"His father came in when we where kissing, and he hit him and then he grabbed the gun, it was so scary," Yuta was still trembling.
Sicheng left Yuta's hands and walked to the shelves he opened a drawer and took some first aid out. He opened it and sat on a pouf in the back of the room looking through it. Yuta hurried to him and knelt on the carpet right in front of the boy.
"I'll do it," he whispered caressing Sicheng's cheeks. He placed sweet little kisses on the boy's lips and kissed a few tears away from his face.
Jae was stunned. He has never seen Yuta so gentle, so in love. He watched how the boy grabbed a little bandage and watered it with hydrogen peroxide and began to wash the blood from his lover's face.
Jae stayed there unaware what to do while Yuta was placing gentle love on the boy's face, with his hands and lips. Sicheng turned around and looked straight at Jae, they could understand each other without words, and Jae knew Sicheng felt as rejected by his father as Jae by his mum...
"Thank you," whispered Sicheng noiselessly and Jae nodded.
He walked to the door and turned around one last time to see how Yuta melted in Sicheng's lips.
Jae walked back through the house till he stopped in the big hall, the party was still on, Ten was dancing all alone between the others and Doyoung was gone probably asleep, so Jae walked to the garden. The first January night was cold and the moon was out making it icy. Jae walked quickly while his breath turned into steam. He wanted to be all alone. He stopped between the high trees of the park that surrounded the villa and glanced at his phone to check the time. It was one minute to midnight, and his phone screen lit up showing a message.
'Happy New Year love. I love you no matter if you do or not. Taeyong'
Jae swallowed. The clock turned into midnight and the fireworks appeared on the night sky and Jae wished to the stars to be with Taeyong again.
