It was a different world Jae entered, when this night happened. He knew it won't stay this way and one day everything will fall into peaces and Taeyong and everyone will find out but he was so different. On the same day he went to Mr. Jacksonville and ask him if there's a chance he could get his deal back, and the man said that he can still work on solo music, and if he will make a hit song he can put it online and try, if the people will like it then they will talk again.
Jae was a little happier because of it. He worked so hard, and the first song of the band came out and he was constantly touring with them. The hardest part about his new band life was to keep the world convinced there's nothing between him and Sicheng. They acted like friends with skin-ship but it was difficult for both to keep their hands to themselves. Jae knew it wasn't the big love for both but it was ok, because both were cheated on and he even felt ok when he saw Taeyong from time to time at university or in the company.
It was the night before Jae and Donghyuck decided to visit Mark and Jae was recording a song he had written till late at night. He knew it wasn't it yet but he tried his best. He left the studio after midnight and he was walking to the elevator when he heard sobs from one of the rooms and stopped.
The corridor was empty so he pushed the door and walked into the studio he and Taeyong had argued during Taeyong's birthday two years ago.
The room was dark and Jae needed a moment to see the small figure on the carpet.
"Taeil?" he whispered and the boy glanced up at him.
His face was red like his eyes and deep tears rolled down his cheeks.
"Taeil what's up?" Jae walked to the boy and sat next to him.
"Jae, you're the last person that should speak to me," whispered Taeil.
"No, I... I made mistakes to," said Jae.
"But I..." Taeil bit his lip.
"Tell me what happened," said Jae and the boy trembled.
"Lauren broke up with me for Yuta," he sobbed louder.
"Oh," Jae shivered.
He had seen it coming but at least Taeil didn't know about her sneaking into Yuta's room while they were still together.
"Laufen nevef desefved you," said Jae.
"Maybe I've never deserved her," whispered Taeil.
"Taeil, she, she played you again, she used you to get Yuta mad and back," said Jae his temper raising.
"I know, I just hoped," Taeil tried to stop to cry but couldn't. "I will never ever be with anyone again, never!" he shouted.
"Taeil, please calm down, thefe afe othef people, othef gifls," said Jae. "At least she was youfs fof some time," Jae felt it's painful but true.
Taeil nodded.
"I guess I must live with the memory till the end of my life," he said.
"Of find someone bettef," said Jae.
"There's no one," Taeil shook his head.
"Not today, not tomoffow, but maybe in some time," Jae laid his hand on his back.
"Why aren't you mad anymore?" asked Taeil between tears and Jae shivered.
"Because," he became red. "I cheated on Taeyong myself," he said honestly and Taeil opened his mouth in shock.
"What are you talking about, that's impossible, you love him," said Taeil.
"Yes I do, but I stafted to kiss this pefson on Ten's bifthday pafty in the wine basement and... it just happened," said Jae feeling that it was refreshing to get it out.
"What! Who?" Taeil was pale. "But it was just on kiss right, you, you haven't kissed him again?" begged Taeil.
"I did," said Jae and Taeil shouted a loud "Oh!"
"But... but... you didn't...." Taeil's voice was shaky.
"We had sex on the beach," said Jae and he remembered Sicheng's skin so good, the waves the sand touches and kisses.
"Jae but, why?" Taeil was crushed.
"I don't know, I just felt bettef aftef it," said Jae honestly.
"Better, but how, you broke Taeyong's heart," whispered Taeil.
"No I didn't, he doesn't know," said Jae.
"Oh, that's amazing, do you think he's not crushed because you left him without a word of explanation and now this. Jae think he will never forgive if he will find out," Taeil laid his hand on Jae's arm.
"He won't find out," said Jae.
"Oh this is so so bad," whispered Taeil.
"He cheated on me with you," said Jae. "It's the same."
"It was one kiss, ok one make out session we both regret, but we never did this," said Taeil.
"Cheating is cheating," whispered Jae.
"Jae what's gotten into you, I know you are in a band now, and I know you're still mad at Taeyong because of this night with me but you started to think you can sleep with whoever you like and it's ok," Taeil raised his voice.
"Not whoevef but Sicheng," said Jae and Taeil shouted.
