When Jaehyun starts to live the adult life he discoverers that Taeyong's mistakes are breaking his heart and trust. Despite all the hardships he must learn to fight for himself and his dreams or else he will lose his boyfriend and his music career.
...
Jae guessed with Mr. Dong's lawyers it won't be impossible to get Mark out of his record company, it also helped he was underage and used to diss Taeyong, so after three months of long and painful visits in the court everything was ready. Headmaster Johnson used his contacts and Mark's name helped a lot to get the boy to perform two days in a row on the biggest open air the 'Spring wheel festival' and live on music TV.
Sicheng was green and pale from nerves and Jae tried to calm him down when they took a car Sicheng had hired to the festival. Jae was the manger so far as they decided to not to invest anymore money till they won't be sure what will happen. Jae got the press to make a interview with Mark and write an exclusive article about his new label and new step in his career. Taeil, who also performed at the festival came to Jae and his crew backstage to wish them luck, although he was as nervous as Sicheng. He and Doyoung had talked to Jae for a few nights in a row after finding out showing him all the darkest visions of him getting bankrupt, landing in jail, being a fugitive on the run with millions of depth but somehow Jae believed in his idea.
Sometimes he thought if it isn's part of the hidden revenge on Taeyong, because he wanted Mark to be his first artist, he knew this will hurt Taeyong a lot.
But tonight he only cared about the performance. He was in a great place backstage with a huge screen right next to him, while Sicheng squeezed his hand tightly when Mark entered the stage. The crowd was a little unsupportive and Jae tensed but the boy didn't let it come to him. He smiled bright starting the first song. Jae had allowed Mark to write all his songs as he trusted him in this case. Sicheng closed his eyes putting his head in Jae's shoulder and the boy shivered. He saw how the first row reacted, how they started to sing with Mark, and the boy began to play with the audience. During the second song the crowd went wild and Jae nudged Sicheng's side so the boy looked up. They kept their fingers crossed till the end of the performance and when Mark left the stage the crowd chanted encore.
"Man it was amazing!" Mark ran to them backstage and high fived with both.
"You wefe gfeat," whispered Jae.
He waited in this spot till the last artist Taeil who had a run since the Lauren break up.
His fangirls were very happy that the handsome boy is single again and the album 'Shuttered tears' sold out so good it nearly topped Taeyong's second album. Thirteen ballads, all about his love and break up made him the king of the singers in the country, but aslo very popular abroad. Jae heard that DL Records planned a world tour for Taeil but he knew the boy would give it all to have Lauren back.
This time Taeil enchanted everyone again and he was the last to leave the stage at the encore. Jae knew this was a good concert and he hoped for some great reviews the next day.
The reviews variated from very good to awful. A online newspaper that supported DL Records made Mark down in an article but Jae decided to leave it. Sicheng spent the night reading comments online till Jae begged him to turn the computer off and go to sleep. Mark's fans were happy, they wanted him back, and now when he could do his own music they supported him fully, even some Taeyong fans joined the fandom and Jae was happy.
In all of this he totally forgot the university and the year final exams, and he was shocked when he received a text from Taeyong who asked him if they could meet at school to practice the routine for the dance class. Jae didn't want to spend time with his ex but he also didn't want to fail so he agreed.
He was very nervous how the next day will be as he hasn't spoken or seen Taeyong since the rooftop goodbye. He was about to get to building B through a shortcut that was leading along a beer garden the students used to spend some nice time in the evening when he saw Yuta. The boy was emptying a huge vodka bottle on his own and he looked so cried out that Jae stopped and walked into the restaurant.
He sat on a chair opposite to the boy and waited till Yuta will notice him.
"Here comes the big manager and CEO, let's drink for it!" Yuta raised the glass and emptied it.
"What afe you doing?" asked Jae.
"Getting drunk," Yuta spat the words out with a strange face.
"I see, but why?" Jae leaned closer o the boy.
"Sicheng loves you, Lauren leaves for London, Taeyong showed me the third finger, I'll be all alone... oh wait I'll have this two dumb bags Johnny and Hansol, let's drink for these idiots!" Yuta filled another glass and emptied it in one sip.
"Yuta what afe you talking about, why is Laufen leaving?" asked Jae.
He thought Yuta and Lauren were a couple again.
"Oh I guess she finally found out who she loves, and it wasn't me, but this loser, maybe it's because he's all famous now I don't know. She doesn't want to stay here because she misses him, let's drink for my stupid girlfriend!" Yuta spilled the alcohol on the table when he tried to fill the next glass.
"I guess that's enough," Jae grabbed the bottle and moved it from him.
"Your see Jaef, how we ended up. Me alone, my girlfriend loves Taeil, Taeil all famous, Bunny is still Bunny, Johnny and Hansol are still the stupidest guys I've ever met, Ten has this drug dealer lady, little Mark is the only reason why you aren't bankrupt, my Sicheng is your bed toy, and Taeyong, who knows what is happening with him? Taeyong wants to change, he wants to be a good man, he still loves you, so funny, you don't give a shit about him anymore and he still loves you," Yuta laughed loud.
He stretched his hand out for the bottle but couldn't reach it and banged his nose against the table swearing loud.
Jae shivered. Yuta was drunk, talking nonsense, that was it. He got up and walked out throwing the half filled bottle into the trash can. Yes it was a bunch of nonsense. Sicheng was... his partner... his lover... his boyfriend... not a... And Taeyong, Taeyong was happy without him like Jae was. Yes Yuta has only been drunk, and nothing he said mattered.
