*FLASHBACK*

"28,29,30! Ready or not, here I come!" I took my hands off of my eyes and cautiously looked around. Hmm no sign of Polly here. I ran around the corner as fast as my little five year old legs could take me. There seemed to be a trail of raisins leading to outside. I opened the back door and ran outside. It was harder to see the raisins on the ground outside in the dirt, but I learned to have a good eye for them. Still, I followed the raisins, past the small pond in the backyard, towards the bushes. The bushes scared me. They were big and giant and you never knew if there was a scary animal lurking behind them. I was so tiny and small comparatively. I cautiously tip toed close to the bushes when-

FOOSH!

There was a loud thud and I saw something fall from the tree into the bushes. I gathered all the courage that I could muster and ran through the bushes to the otherside. There I saw Polly in her nice blue dress, that was now covered in mud from falling from the tree.
"Polly, are you okay?" I rushed over to her side.
"Yeah Betty, I'm fine. I didn't think I would actually fall... hey wait a second, you went through the bushes!" Polly exclaimed.
"Well, yeah. I thought you were hurt. I couldn't just leave you." I looked lovingly at my older sister.
"Aw, thanks Bets." She pulled me in for a hug.
"I'd never leave you, Polly. Ever."
"Good. Cuz I don't plan on ever leaving you either."

We smiled at each other and laughed.

"I wish finding Polly was as simple as following a raisin trail like when we were kids," i sighed, getting into Juggies car.

"Are you sure that she didnt leave you with any clues... like raisins?" Jughead asked.

"I mean, she could have. We need to head back to that mental hospital they kept her in and figure it out." I looked down nervously at my skirt, wringing my hands. Jughead put his hands on top of mine.

"Hey, we're going to find her. I promise." He smiled. Then he leaned in and gave me a forehead kiss. "Now, let's go solve a mystery, Scooby Doo." He focused back on the road and started driving off.

I laughed. "Wouldn't I be more of a Velma? Cuz I like to think I'm smarter than a dog."

"Yeah. I suppose that works. As long as I get to be your Fred Jones. Hey! Jughead Jones, Fred Jones? I already have the last name in my favor."

"Umm well... Cooper and sleuther rhyme?" We both laughed.

Eventually, we pulled up to the creepy mental hospital. We asked to see Polly's room and the receptionist acted as if she never heard of Polly Cooper. Jughead and I walked out and around to where Polly's room was from the outside. There was no broken glass. No bloodstained windows. Nothing that showed that she ran away. It was all cleaned up. Jughead and I looked at each other and were baffled.

"Maybe there's some sort of clues in the woods?" Jughead suggested.

We walked over into the woods and I instinctively attempted to look for a trail of raisins and then lightly chuckled at myself.

"Guess she didn't leave a trail of raisins this time." I joked. Jughead was down on one knee and staring intensely at some object on the ground. "What is it?" I rushed over to his side.

"It's not a raisin, but a note. Here." He passed the letter to me. I carefully opened it.

"Dear Betty,
If you've found this, which I'm sure that you have, don't worry I'm ok. I couldn't handle knowing that Jason had been killed so I've run away from this awful place. The baby and I are going to live with a friend of mine, Janette, who lives a town over from Riverdale, Central. In case you want to contact me, my friends number is 561-567-3045. But remember l don't call from your line because of mom and dad. Call from any other number. I miss you and hope to see you soon.
