Jughead and I had hit the pavement and kept running to the right.

"Where do we go?" I huffed, running my brains out. Wait. Not the thing to say in a zombie situation.

"I don't know. But not home, that's where Veronica, Polly, and Arch are. We can't lead them there." He said, running out of breath too. We took a sharp right and headed towards the forest. "If we go far enough in, we could climb a tree. Or head towards the abandoned park."

"Yeah," I replied really out of breath now. "We could do that." I turned my head back for a second and saw that we had gotten Kevin off of our scent, since we ran into the woods. He looked around on the street, really confused. It was bizarre to see him as a pale, veiny guy. He was almost like a superhuman zombie.... What had Sabrina been trying to do with her wand? If she was trying to hit Jason? Like how did this effect Kevin? Jughead and I kept running further and further into the woods. Eventually we hit the carousel and Jughead quickly turned it on. We hopped into the cart and it started to rotate upward. Eventually he made it stop on the spot where we were overlooking the city. "Should we call them? Do you think they're ok?" My face was puffy from crying.

"Yeah. I'm gonna call Arch real quick. But are you ok, Bets?" He rubbed my back and stared directly into my eyes. I nodded. Then laid my head on his chest. He made the phone call. "Alright. They're safely at home. Boarding up the walls."

"With what?" I asked skeptically.

"Apparently Archie is using the soundproofing stuff that was in his garage." Jughead shrugged. "But don't worry, Polly is safe." He took my hand in his.

"We have to get to them, Juggie." I looked up at him.

"I know. I know. But we have to wait until morning. Zombies usually stay out at night, right?" He asked. But I wasn't sure if he was asking me or himself...

"I know!" I exclaimed. "Dilton! He knows everything. I'm sure he'll know something to fix the situation." I quickly pulled out my phone and called Dilton. He was the nerdy guy who knew how to do everything science, math, and zombie related. "Hey! Dilton! I don't know if you heard... but long story short, Sabrina is a witch and she brought Jason Blossom back from the dead apparently. Any take on that? Or just zombies in general?" I asked.

"What? There's zombies running around Riverdale?!" Dilton exclaimed over the phone.

"Yeeeeep. Ok but how do we stop them?" I eagerly awaited an answer.

"Well, it depends on what type of zombie, how long ago it was, if they've already started an epidemic." He replied.

"Shoot. I didn't think about if they've started an epidemic. Cheryl was bitten and Kevin was hit with a magic wand." I explained.

"This is not good, Betty. I'll start working on a serum asap. But you have to make sure that they are contained somewhere, so they won't hurt others." Dilton said.

"Got it. Thanks Dilton." I got off the phone. "Ok. So we have to keep all the zombie freaks contained somewhere, so they don't start an epidemic."

"Wow, ok! What a simple fix," Jughead stated sarcastically. A grim expression written all over his face. "How are we going to do that, Betty?"

"We have to think of something. If we don't the entirety of Riverdale could be up in flames and dead zombie freaks." I threw my hands up in the air.

"Ok. Ok. Calm down. We'll think of something. We always do." Jughead mindlessly tapped his fingers against the side of the carousel.

"Well, first thing is first. We need to find the zombie freaks and round them up somewhere." I suggested. "We need guns, who has guns?"

"Woah. Are you a killer now Betty? Like these are your friends." Jughead said.
