Wedding dress shopping? Check. Bachelorette party? Check. All that was next was the wedding itself. Oh, and of course, Christmas. You would think that since I had a boyfriend this year for Christmas that I'd be in an extra jolly mood, but nope. Here I was, frantically worrying over my upcoming wedding this Christmas season.
"Ok, so you're one-hundred percent sure that the florist will get me one white rose in my bouquet to honor Polly with?" I asked Veronica.
"Yes! Don't worry. They're preparing it just as you requested." Veronica said, annoyed. We were out and about shopping for last minute wedding things. It was already just a little over a week away. I think I was hitting panic mode. I took in a deep breath. "Hun, it's all going to be fine. You know that Cheryl and I have everything planned to a T, right?" Veronica placed a concerned hand on my shoulder. I nodded in reply. "Ok. Then come on. All we have left to do is to arrange who's sitting next to who. And we can go back to your house for that. Juggiekins can help."
"Ok. Sounds like a plan." I replied. We hopped into the Lodge's limo, along with our several purchases from the day.
"So are you excited about your new little black dress? Because you look absolutely stunning in it, Dear." Veronica exclaimed, motioning her hand down.
"Of course I am. And I really think that Jughead will like it." I said, taking the dress out of the bag. It was a glittery black dress. What can I say? I'm totally into sparkles a lot lately.
"Of course he will. He'll like it so much he'll practically rip it off of you." Veronica laughed at her own joke. I gave her a face as if to say "Really though, Ronnie?" "What? I would say I'm kidding, but let's be real here, Girlie." She shrugged.
"So, are you taking Archie to the wedding as your date, Ronnie?" I inquired, a smug look written on my face. Veronica grinned largely.
"Maybe. Maybe. We'll see." She wiggled her eyebrows.
"Or did Cheryl get to him first, since his break up with Valerie?" I joked. Veronica glared.
"As if." She rolled her eyes. "So did you and Juggie get anything for JJ for Christmas yet?"
"Yeah. We got him some clothes. A few new toys. Not that he'll appreciate them much though, I mean he's barely a month old." I laughed.
"Also, can we talk about how cute it is that it's your first Christmas together, too?" Veronica exclaimed. "And you guys are already living together... with a kid." I jokingly hit Ronnie on the arm.
"Nephew." I corrected.
"Mhmm. Mhmm yup. Just wait. You guys are totally gonna have a kid right after you get married. I just know it." Veronica joked, with a wink.
"Uh-huh. Yeah sure. Cuz you're secretly a teenage witch, too." I made a face at her. She shrugged and laughed it off.
"Also, I can't wait to meet Mrs. Jones and Jellybean!" Veronica exclaimed.
"Yeah, they're really sweet. I mean, I guess if your name is Jellybean you have to be." I joked. "But for real. They're great. Although it's totally weird that we haven't seen them since we've been dating. So that'll be awkward."
"I'm sure they'll approve. I mean, you've been letting him live with you since he practically became homeless. That's gotta count for something right?" Veronica mentioned, spreading her hands out. We finally pulled up to my house. Veronica and I exited the limo, carrying six bags each. We headed inside and saw Jughead calmly sitting on the couch, feeding JJ a bottle. Heart melting moment much? Jughead hadn't even seen us come in, and we decided to stay quiet and watch the two of them. Jughead was wearing a black sweater along with his beanie and was smiling down at JJ, making goofy happy faces at him.
