A week had passed since Polly, Jughead, and I started living sort of on our own. Not much had changed. Other than the fact that now our place was slowly becoming the hangout place, since there aren't any adults. That and I guess Cheryl and Sabrina have gotten closer, like they're already BFF status. Not much has happened with the mystery of Jasons death. We had Cheryl and Polly both tell Sheriff Keller their stories. I still highly suspect my parents and, quite frankly, hers too. Although it does seem unlikely that either set of parents directly killed Jason, it is definitely a possibility that they hired a hitman. Hopefully we'll find out eventually.

"Are you ready to go yet, Betty?" Polly yelled at me from downstairs.

"Almost!" I said, as I was putting my heart earrings in. I was wearing a red vneck sweater, with a white buttondown underneath it. I decided to leave my hair down and have it slightly in curls. "Bye Juggie." I kissed the top of his head as I walked out the bedroom door.

"Love you!" He called from the windowsill. He was getting more in depth on the mystery and was busily doing things on his laptop. I ran down the stairs and put on my white keds.

"Ready!" I smiled. Today, Polly had a doctors appointment and it was the first one that I was going to. To say that I was excited would be an understatement.

"Just to prove to you that Baby JJ is a boy, we'll ask them the gender, Betty," Polly laughed at me. I held her hand, as she laid down and the nurse put some sort of green gel on her stomach. "It's totally a boy, right?"

The nurse scanned for a minute.

"Yes it is! There's his little dealio." The nurse laughed. "100% a boy. Congratulations." She smiled at us.

"Guess, you were right." I laughed.

"Of course I am! I told you Baby JJ was going to be a boy." Polly rolled her eyes. "Can I please get several copies of this picture?"

"You most certainly can! I'm going to go grab those for you and I'll be right back." The nurse responded and left the room.

"Ohmigosh, Polly! Looking at the ultrasound is so amazing. Like, that's your baby in their." A small tear came to my eye, as I looked at the ultrasound. I mean, knowing it's your nephew and seeing that it's your nephew are two different things. I was going to be an aunt. Aunt Betty.

"It really is. But now I can start calling him Baby JJ and you'll have to accept it." She joked, as she started to sit up. "Whew. Only two more months. That's so crazy, isn't it?"

"Yeah. Are you scared at all?" I asked, taking her hand in mine.

"Oh yeah. Especially over the birth part. I feel like the mom part will come naturally. Thankfully, I babysat a lot, so I know quite a bit about kids." We both laughed.

"Well, hey, Juggie and I are going to be here with you through it all." I smiled and the nurse came back in.

"Here are your copies," she handed us a few pictures. "And everything seems to be going smoothly. Like I said, your due date is just around the corner. Two months, eight weeks, is going to come sooner than you think it will."

"Yeah, it's so surreal." I said.

"At least you don't have to go through all the labor, you get to be the fun aunt," Polly joked.

"Thanks so much!" I said to the doctor and we left. We got in the car and I noticed just how huge Polly's stomach had gotten. She looked like she was going to burst already. I didn't know how she was going to hold the baby in for eight more weeks.
