The vampire burst through the mosaic and screamed so loud, everyone tried to cover their ears.
"What. The. Heck?!" Reggie asked.
"Long story short- the beef incident caused vampires." Jughead stated. The vampire headed straight for Cheryl and Reggie, who covered their faces instead of moving.
"CHERYL!" I screamed. We might have had our disagreements, but she was still JJ's family.
WHACK.
We all looked up, stunned to see Veronica breathing heavily with a giant wooden stake in her hands, and the vampire crumpled to the ground.
"Hey guys." She heaved.
"How did you-?" I started asking.
"Ummm, long story short, I was at Archie's place, we saw you guys drive off pretty fast, and we followed you here." She explained with a shrug. Jughead and I exchanged a glance when she mentioned that she was at Archie's place. Then, Archie came bursting through the door with like a dozen small, wooden stakes.
"Hey guys! So I hope this helps with the situation at hand." He dropped all of the stakes at the foot of the staircase. Cheryl walked up to Veronica, and then looked her up and down twice.
"Thanks, I guess." She said coldly.
"It's no big deal. Not like I just saved your life or anything." Veronica smirked.
"Ok guys, no time for fighting, we have to be civil about this." I reminded them, as I bounced JJ on my hip.
PZZT. "B-b-etty?" I heard on the walkie talkie. I picked it up.
"Dilton? Are you ok?"
PZZT. "I'm fine. I got the recorder. Where do hou want me to drop it off?"
"Come to the Blossoms. And bring all of your equipment. The vampires have made several attacks because it's a full moon." I replied.
PZZT. "Ok. But Betty?"
"Yeah Dilton?"
PZZT. "Ummm... all the current victims just broke loose..."
"Cool beans. We'll fix it. Like I said, bring your equipment."
"Dilton Doiley? What does he have to do with any of this? Did he find a cure?" Archie asked.
"Not yet. But trust me, he's on our side. Now, Marta? I'm not so sure about." I responded. Wooh. JJ was getting really heavy. I passed him off to Jughead. I was in more physical pain than usual. I really shouldn't be doing any heavy lifting at 6 months pregnant.
"What's wrong with Marta? I like her." Veronica asked.
"She's super shady. Distracting Dilton? Asking about the abandoned amusement park?" I replied. Then I suddenly realized something. "Ohmigosh you guys!"
"What?"
"Are you ok?"
"The abandoned amusement park! That's got to be where Marta is keeping all the vampires. Thats got to be where we can kill them all." I responded.
"But what about the ones that just escaped?" Veronica asked.
"Ugh... last time we had Sabrina crop dust the town... we'll need Dilton's cure to be powerful enough to do the same... and someone to drive a plane." I tapped my foot, as I thought.
"I can drive one." Archie responded.
"Since when?" Jughead asked, making a face, as if he didn't believe him.
