"Betty," Veronica started saying. "I'm not pregnant!" She threw her hands into the air.

"That's great, Ronnie." I smiled. I'm not going to lie, I was kinda disappointed. I was actually excited about the thought of us having children around the same age.

"I was so relieved! I just had to rush over here and tell you in person." Veronica looked ecstatic. I guess she's right though, in her situation it's probably better that she's not pregnant right now. Especially after what Archie did to her...

I hesitantly asked her the question that had been nagging at me this entire conversation, "What are you going to do about Archie now?" She suddenly averted her gaze to the ground.

"Honestly? I want to rip his balls off, but that's not lady-like." She shrugged. "I'll probably just make him grovel before I tell him that I'm not actually pregnant now."

"Wait, wait, wait." I spread one of my hands out, as the other was holding JJ on my lap. "So you're still going to date him? After the fact that he slept with Cheryl?"

"No, of course not." Veronica scoffed. "I'm dumping his sorry ass after I break the news to him."

"And... I mean, you're ok and everything?"

"Oh yeah. I'm done crying over playboy Archie Andrews." Veronica raised her fist to underneath her chin and gave me a devious smile.

"What about Cheryl?" Then Jughead came over and dropped our food off at the table.

"Sooooo?" He questioned.

"I'm not." Veronica smirked.

"Phew." Jughead sighed in relief. "Dumping Archie?"

"Yep."

"Alright then. You guys enjoy your salads." Jughead walked off to check on his other tables.

"As for Cheryl? I'm not entirely blaming her for any of this. It was obviously Archie's fault too. I'm done ruining people's lives. That's not me anymore. I'm going to just... try to avoid her as much as possible." Veronica explained. "I did what I did and said what I said already and I feel like that was enough. But please-" she grabbed my hand from across the table. "Let me know if and when she'll be anywhere near you guys because of JJ. I dont want to face her just yet."

"Yeah for sure." I sympathized.

"Smart move." Marta replied. She had been so quiet during this encounter that I forgot she was even there.

"Marta right?" Veronica raised an eyebrow.

"Yup. Just moved here." Marta took a bite of her salad.

"Cool. I remember being new here. Good luck." She stole a fry from my plate.

"Hey!" I swatted her hand away. "Those are for Polly. She's extra hungry today." We laughed.

I had the best-yet oddest-dream ever. It was of Juggie, JJ, the baby, and I all at the beach. The baby was perfect- she had Juggie's dark hair and my light blue eyes. She was the most precious thing I'd seen in my entire life. Then, the real Polly joined us. She was playing with her toddler son, as if she'd never been dead. Jason was even there with them. The two families were laughing and playing in the water. It was so surreal and perfect. Then, I awoke to Jughead holding JJ, with a large grin written all over his face.

"Happy-first-Mother's Day, Betty!" Jughead said. Then he leaned down and kissed me. "JJ and I made you, and Polly, pancakes and bacon. I'll be right back." He handed JJ to me, as he rushed down the stairs to grab my breakfast.
