I was dreaming of being on the beach, hand in hand with Jughead. It was sunset and we sat down to watch it. The sky was a gorgeous ombre of oranges, yellows, and reds. It was perfect with just the two of us there. No cares, no worries in the world. Of course, all good things must come to an end. I was shaken awake, no scratch that, hit awake by pillows.
"Ugh. Guys come on. Go back to bed." I said grouchily, as I turned over to lay on my stomach in the bed.
"Bets. It's New Year's Eve." Veronica stressed. She was wearing a short black lacy nightgown that matched her gorgeous ebony hair.
"You're getting married today, Cooper!" Cheryl exclaimed excitedly, wearing her pink ruffled pajamas. I'd never seen her so excited before in my life. And of course, she was already wearing her iconic blood red lipstick. Who wears lipstick with their nightgown?
"What time is it?" I mumbled, my eyes still half shut, as I gazed up at my two best friends, who were standing in front of my bed.
"Like... 8a.m." Veronica crossed her arms, still holding on to a pillow in one hand.
"But... the wedding isn't until 3p.m. We've got SO much time. I'm sleeping in some more. I didn't sleep well last night, at all." I complained, then covered my face into a pillow.
"It's because Jughead wasn't sleeping next to you for the first time in months, right?" Cheryl smirked. I heard Veronica hit her lightly.
"Cheryl!" I heard her mumble. "Listen, Betty. No later than 10a.m. We gotta do your hair, makeup, everything."
"Ugh, but like is that really going to take five hours?" I whined.
"She was adding in some time for food." Cheryl sassed me.
"Ok. Well, I'll sleep in until 10a.m. then. Please leave me, pheasants." I shooed them away with my hand, then quickly went back to bed. Between Baby JJ, the holidays, and wedding planning I didn't get too much sleep these days. And yes, last night I didn't sleep as well partially because Jughead wasn't there, but also partially because those girls kept me up all fricking night long. They were worse at keeping me up than JJ was. They made me play truth or dare and get into the serious details of my relationship with Jughead. I didn't mind telling Ronnie, but it was slightly awkward with Cheryl there. Like, yes, Cheryl is my friend and all, but she judges me. Veronica doesn't care, she just likes to hear good gossip. Then they made me watch like a bazillion chick flicks, "27 Dresses," "Hairspray," and "The Notebook" I fell asleep during that last one. I did learn some good gossip about the new love triangle that the girls were forming with Archie. Apparently he was going as Ronnie's date for the wedding, but had still promised Cheryl a dance at the reception. This guy. He's got way too many girls on his hands than he knows what to do with. I'm glad I dodged that bullet. And, ya know what, I'm just gonna say it... he was a man whore. Just calling it as I see it.

"Ow! You're gonna make me bald, Veronica!" I yelled, as she was curling my hair with a curling iron. And quite frankly, she was not being gentle with that thing.
"Oh can it, Blondie. You're going to look muy bonita when I'm done with you!" Veronica smiled. I was sat in front of a mirror still in my nightgown, so I was able to see her reflection. She was already wearing her red bridesmaid dress. It was floor length, with a small slit in the top. The collar was studded with dark jewels. Veronica's hair was put up into a neat ponytail, but the end of her ponytail was curled. She looked absolutely stunning.
"Yeah, but I won't look nearly as beautiful as you do. You're practically gonna steal my show." I laughed. Then I yelped as Veronica unintentionally yanked my hair with the curling wand... again.
