Larry watched Ashlie walk away.

What she mean three? Larry wondered.

He was happy. He finally found a way to get rid of Lyra once and for all. He told his brother that she hurt his shoulder when they were in DC to force him into doing the show and punched him repeatedly because he tried to back out of the show at the last minute.

Laurent was going to shred her heart like confetti and kick her out of their life like old garbage. Then he could have all of his brother's attention and affection for himself. He had to admit he was going to miss her. Lyra put up a good fight but in the end she was just another dumb bihh that he didn't invading his world.

"Why you do that to my brother?" Laurent's tone was cold.

Lyra scoffed and started to walk away. He grabbed her wrist to turn her back to him.

"What did your brother tell you?" Lyra sighed, again calmly removing his hand from her pained wrist.
"He said you made him do this." Laurent spat showing her the video.

Lyra's eyes widened and her lip twitched briefly before looking back at him. Laurent saw surprise and anger before she blinked and it was gone.

"Tell me why?" Laurent asked his eyes were filled with hurt and anger.

She shrugged. "I don't have a personal reason for doing anything in that video."
"That what you have for to say? You hurt my brother..." Laurent clenched his fists.
"He crossed a line." Lyra replied quickly trying to keep her voice even.
"He make you mad so you hurt my brother and..."
"I hurt him?" She was stunned.

"You kick him for make him do the show. You kick him until Ashlie stop you." His tone was cold. Lyra glared at him.

I kicked him after... That little bitch, I should have punched him in his big lying mouth!

"I didn't ..." Lyra tried to explain but Laurent cut her off.
"You no kick him! Did you punch his face?"
"I did kick him and I slapped him across his face." Lyra corrected looking up to his eyes. "He..."
Laurent cut across her again.
"You hurt him!" He concluded. "Tell me why?"

Lyra stood there quietly looking for the walking corpse. She finally found Larry sitting across the room talking to some guy with dreads.

"For what? Huh? For what?" Laurent stepped closer to her blocking her view.

"If you would stop cutting across me, you would have known the reason." Lyra replied evenly returning her gaze to his eyes. He scoffed at her.

"I don't believe you hurt my brother!" He spat turning away from her.
"Yes, that's all that matters." She replied sarcastically. He reacted like she slapped him across his face. "Not playing crowd control and bouncer to the girls you were done using for your own amusement. Not being attacked by them the second, you weren't looking. Not being forced to defend myself physically because someone thought it would be funny to parade me in front of them like a red flag at running of the bulls, just to see if I'd survive. Your brother caused me physical pain as well but all that matters is I hurt him." Lyra shook her head then moved her hair back behind her shoulders. "This is a waste of time, you don't care about my reasons. You just want to fuss at me because your brother was hurt." She turned away.

"What is that?" Laurent grabbed her wrist, examining the faintly covered bruise.

Lyra sighed realizing the makeup had rubbed off from him repeatedly grabbing her wrist. When Lyra tried to shoo his hands away he pulled her other wrist towards him, rubbing the makeup off and examining the bruise on that wrist as well. His eyes widened and his anger flared.

"He did this?" He held up her wrists for her to see, like she didn't know they were there.

She looked at him in disbelief, "Don't act like you care. Besides it doesn't matter now, right?" Lyra twisted her wrists out of his hands.
"You like this kind of stuff too?" Laurent asked quietly.
"No!" Lyra snapped. "You didn't pull me over here to discuss sexual fetishes or these bruises. You have all the answers you're going to get and you expressed your rage on behalf of your brother." She took a step away but the pain in her calf caused her to lose her balance.
"Lire." Laurent grabbing her around her waist and helped her sit down.

"What do you want from me?" Lyra closed her eyes to keep from vocalizing her pain as she pressed gingerly on her calf.

Laurent noticed she had makeup, probably covering a large bruise on her calf.

"The truth." Laurent said grabbing Lyra's face turning her face to his. Lyra slowly opened her eyes, gritted her teeth and yanked away from his hold.
"You already know the truth." Lyra declared.

Larry knew Laurent better than her. He knew what buttons to push and when, to manipulate his brother to get the response he wanted and usually a favorable outcome for him. It didn't matter what she said, Larry labeled her the bad guy so Lyra was the bad guy. It would always be her word against Larry's.

"You don't want to be my woman?" Laurent asked touching her thigh.

Lyra's heart stuttered, she wanted to tell him that it wasn't her but his brother that didn't want it. His brother set up everything the video. But she knew if the situation were Laurent telling her that Ashlie was trying to sabotage them, she wouldn't believe him until she saw it herself. Laurent has to see it for himself.

Lyra moved his hand and slowly stood up.

"I can't." She replied gingerly taking a step away. The pain was there but more tolerable.
"Why?" Laurent said gruffly, pulling her back to sit on his lap.

Lyra felt her skin warm against his body. She could feel Laurent noticed too, he smiled at her as he caressed her thigh. She looked around and locked eyes with Larry as he glared angrily at her.

"You still don't get it." Lyra's eyebrow twitch briefly. "I can't compete with... I just can't."
"You no have to compete. Tell me what to do. I change..." Laurent said in her ear.
"No, don't!" She quickly brought her eyes to his. "I don't want you to change." Lyra quickly got up and moved away from him before she started crying in his arms.

"Ly! Lire!" Laurent called as Lyra continue walking. "Tell me what to do please?" He said grabbing her arm. "Je t'aime mon petit amie. Please, I want only you!" Laurent said pulling her into him and wrapping his arm around her waist.

Lyra's heart hurt at his declaration of love. She waited so long to him say it to her and almost said it back but she stopped herself as Larry managed to put himself in her line of sight. She reached her hand to Laurent's face and sighing as he leaned into it.

"Je t'adore, Laurent. Under different circumstances, I would end anyone that dared, but I am truly sorry for hurting you." Lyra whispered.

He pulled his hat down, casting a shadow over his face before she could read the emotions in his eyes. Lyra slightly moved the hat enough so she could search his eyes.

Laurent may be willing to do a lot of things for her in this moment but he wasn't ready to face the fact that Larry was willing to do even more to stop them from being together. She smiled, gently grabbing the hand touching her waist and kissed his palm.

"Prenez soin de vous, amant." Lyra released his hand and walked away. (Take care of yourself, lover.)

She pushed her way out the front door and quickly rushed into the first taxi she saw.

Laurent was perplexed. He thought everything would be better after confronting Lyra but it somehow made things worse. He didn't think she would lie to him but he didn't expect she would admit she hurt Larry without an ounce of remorse.

It no secret Larry not Lire favorite person, but if he cause her so many problems why she no tell me?

He thought back to the angry glares and tension between them that gradually seemed to lessen. He thought they reached an agreement to try to get alone when they were around him.

The whole thing made no sense, why this happened now? I know Lire want to be with me, I know I see it in her eyes. I feel it in her touch, her body still react to me.

But if she wants me, why she leave me behind?
