Lyra grabbed a bottled water from the refrigerator and an ice pack from the freezer then handed them to him. She placed a plastic bag in a waste basket and put it beside him. Then leaned on the back of the chair across from him.

"Why did you come here? Surely someone from your personal brothel would have been a better option?" Lyra sneered. Laurent downed the water.
"You're going to get choked drinking that fast." Lyra pulled the bottle from his mouth.

Laurent's stomach gurgled and she sighed.

"Have you eaten today?" Lyra asked.
"This morning, before my flight." Laurent said leaning over preparing to heave.
"In the waste basket please." Lyra put the basket in front of him then went in the kitchen to make him something to eat.

"Anyone know where you are?" Lyra called from the kitchen.
"No." He answered.

She came back with some food and another bottle of water. He was laying on her couch with the waste basket in his hand. She grabbed two pain relievers from her cabinet after placing the plate beside him.

"Laurent you need to eat and take these to avoid a hangover." She handed the pills to him, then moved his bag to the spare room.

Lyra cleaned the kitchen as Laurent ate. When she went to check on him, he was sleeping on her sofa and had barely touched the food. Lyra reached for his plate and he grabbed her arm.

"Ly why-why that happen?" Laurent said still slurring, breathing toxic breath on her.

'Holy mother, what did he drink? Raw sewage?'

Lyra backed away, "What are you talking about?"
Laurent pushed himself up on his elbow, "You hurt my brother. I was mad. You thinking you mad at me. I know you hurt my twin." He heaved then spewed into the trash can again. He rinsed his mouth and spit the water onto the trash can as well. "Why you lie for he hurt you? Now he mad you no mad. You love me. Why me this happen?" Laurent leaned back closing his eyes.

'I need GPS to navigate that thought path.' Lyra rubbed her head sleepily.

"I think we should talk when you're sober. Hand me your phone." Lyra held out her hand.

He handed her his phone. She turned the ringer off and placed it in the charging pad in her office.

"Come on let's get you settled." She reached for his arm.

Laurent stood up and stumbled into Lyra.

"Don't knock me down." She complained trying to steady him on his feet.
"Why you help?" Laurent slurred.
"I'm a fairy princess." She replied sarcastically. "Come on. Time for the drunk giant to sleep."
"I not drunk." He disputed. Lyra turned her head trying not to gag when he exhaled.

She opened the door to the spare room wider and helped him sit on the bed. She lifted his legs onto the bed, removing his shoes and placed them beside the door on her way out.

"Get undressed and try to go back to sleep." Lyra walked back out to finish cleaning up.

She almost threw up while closing the bag Laurent threw up in.

"Ly!" He called before she walked outside to dump the wastebasket.
"Yes?" She answered before she unlocked the door.
"Ly!" He called again.

She walked back to the room and leaned against the door trying to restrained a giggle, before helping Laurent get free from his clothes.

"Hold on! Laurent wait! Hold still!" Lyra tried to help as he continued to struggle.

She finally managed to remove his jacket. Laurent watched Lyra closely as she removed his bracelets, rings, and necklaces. She helped him remove two more layers and his pants, folded them and set them on his bag. He was left shirtless, in boxer briefs, and socks.
