The next morning, Mark walked into school with Jaehyun at his side. Neither Jaehyun nor Mark had seen or heard of Donghyuck since yesterday evening. Jaehyun said he tried texting him and calling him several times, but he never answered. Mark told Jae not to speak about the red head since anytime he did, the blonde's heart ached.

"I have to find Sicheng, so, I'll see you in class I guess." Mark shrugged and turned his body, beginning to walk away. Jaehyun held up a quick peace sign and walked the opposite direction towards the stairs that led to the second and third floors of the school building.

Mark searched the first floor and when he saw that there was no sign of Sicheng, he moved to the second floor.

While he was searching the second floor, he also saw that Donghyuck was no where to be seen. He's probably just late today he thought; There's no way he could be that sad about this whole situation. Or maybe he's already in class?

When he confirmed to himself that Sicheng wasn't on the second floor either, his last resort was to check the third one.

Mark seemed to be the most popular in his own year as girls swooned around him almost immediately as he reached the top of the stairs. But today, some were saying different things rather than just 'Mark, can we hang out sometime?' or the usual compliments. Today he was hearing things such as:

"Are you and Tzuyu dating?"

"Why do you like Tzuyu and not me?"

"Since when did you have a crush on Tzuyu?"

Mark stopped in his tracks, and so did all of the people surrounding him. His breathing began to quicken and his hands began trembling, but he kept a smile on his face.

"Ah, c-can you guys just tell me where D-Dong Sicheng is, please?" He asked, stuttering over some words. His eyes darted across the entire crowd until one student spoke up.

"I think I saw him talking to Tzuyu over there~" they cooed, and the rest of the crowd 'oooooh'ed like elementary school children.

Mark bit the inside of his cheek and thanked the person before lightly pushed his way out of the circle of people as fast as possible. When he exited the crowd of people, he felt light headed and he suddenly wanted to cry.

How did people know about his crush on Chou Tzuyu? The only people that he has told were Jaehyun and Donghyuck.

Mark's thoughts immediately said that Haechan was guilty for this, since Jaehyun has known about his crush since their first year of highschool and hasn't done anything for almost three years now. But Haechan had just found out about this, and promised to keep it a secret. He didn't seem like the type of boy to spil secrets that fast or easily, and he said himself that he didn't even know who Tzuyu was?

Mark turned at the corner of the hall and saw Sicheng talking to Tzuyu in Chinese, so he had no clue on what they were saying. Could it be Sicheng? Mark thought, but immediately scratched the thought out of his head since this is only the second day being at this school for the Chinese dancer.

He didn't want to face Tzuyu. He didn't want to look at her, talk to her, or breathe her same air. He was so flustered to the point where he was scared to do anything by her.

Tzuyu's back was turned to Mark, which made him a bit more relaxed until Sicheng noticed him and waved at him. Mark lifted his hand a bit to wave back, but he couldn't move.

Tzuyu turned around and Mark immediately looked down at the white tiled school floor and briskly made his way to Sicheng, hiding behind him a bit.

"Hey, Sicheng, there you are!" He forced a chuckled, looking up at the Chinese boy, playfully punching his arm.

Tzuyu's dark eyes darted back and forth from Mark's hidden face to Sicheng's tall figure. She gave a small and shy smile to Mark, but he didn't notice since he wasn't looking at her.

"Ah, is it time...class start?" Sicheng slowly formed his last words, looking behind him to see Mark's head who nodded in response.

Sicheng 'oh'ed and said his goodbyes to Tzuyu; in Chinese of course, and then Mark lightly tugged on the boy's arm, signalling that he was eager to leave.

When the two began to leave for their classroom, Tzuyu lightly gripped onto Mark's shirt, making him almost collapse right then and there.

"Mark...can I talk to you?" She asked as he turned around to face her while avoiding eye contact.

"But, class is about to start so maybe we can talk late-"

"It's...kind of important. I promise I won't make you late to class." She put her hands together in a pleading manner and Mark formed his mouth into a straight line. He looked back at Sicheng who just smiled and pushed Mark a bit forward, and before Mark could say anything to him, he was already walking away from the two, leaving Mark with Tzuyu as the hallways began to become empty.

Tzuyu brushed a strand of her silky brown hair from her face and smiled, making Mark's heart flutter. "Ah, is it true what all these kids are saying?" She questioned him, her voice soft and sweet.

Mark wanted to lay down and never get  back up at this point. "W-What? What are people saying about me? Or you? Or both of us?" He tried to play it off like he didn't know what was going on, and Tzuyu seemed to fall for it, even with the boy's terrible fib.

"You don't know? People keep telling me that you have a crush on me. I've gotten a mix of things said to me...some say that I should ask you out, some are saying that they're jealous of me, and some are even getting angry with me." She lowered her head, her hair falling in front of her shoulders.

Mark gulped. People were bullying her for something that she wasn't even her fault? No one even knew if she returned the feelings for him! The thought of Tzuyu getting mean comments thrown at her because the 'popular kid that everyone wants to be with' has a crush on her made his stomach twist, making him feel even more uneasy than he already was.

"So, I just wanted to get the answer from you. Do you actually have a crush on me?" She lifted her head and their eyes met. It felt like Tzuyu was Medusa as she had just frozen Mark into stone, as he couldn't bring himself to move.

He had to do something. He couldn't tell her how he actually feels, since she would then keep getting mean comments, but he didn't want to turn her down, either. This was an opportunity that he might not ever get again.

But his brain told him otherwise.

"Me? Have a crush on you? I'm sorry, but, I don't have any feelings for you. Whoever started this rumor is full of lies, Tzuyu. I'm sorry if I made you confused." He said, his voice sounding more natural than before.

And he hated it.
