Haechan was crying over the phone as he spoke to a tired Mark at midnight. No, nothing bad happened between the two. Haechan was emotional because-
"My baby is all grown up!" He choked through hiccups and sniffles.
Mark yawned. "You're younger than me-"
"That's not an excuse! I'm just emotional right now because you're an adult."
"Yeah~" Mark snickered. "I'm old enough to drink now."
A sharp gasp was heard on the other line. "Mark Lee!" Donghyuck stammered. "You shouldn't have even the slightest bit of alcohol no matter what age you are!"
"Why not?"
"Because you have the face of a newborn child. It'd be weird. You're still a baby. Who says that you're 18? Your birthday cake should say 8."
Mark had no response, so Haechan kept talking.
"You still need to focus on studies. And other adult issues that will be piled onto you because you're now going into adulthood and you're going to be faced with struggles such as bills and more bills and whatever adults do and-"
"I still live with my mom."
"SHE COULD KICK YOU OUT AT ANY TIME, MARK!" the younger boy's loud voice made Mark suddenly not feel tired.
Haechan sighed. "Anyways, putting the hellish struggles aside, I hope you have a good day today. I wasn't able to get you anything crazy, like how you got me a square balloon, but my love is the best gift of all~"
The brunette couldn't help but laugh. "That was so corny."
"Accept it."
"I will, don't worry."
"I love you, Mark."
"Stop you're gonna make me cry next."
"I love you!"
"I'm crying."
"I love you so much?"
"Ohmygod stop I love you too just stop making me emotional."
