Mark was so confused with the drama going on in his life that his sleep schedule slowly became messy. When he arrived at school after the weekend, small bags were visible under his dark brown eyes. He didn't talk to anyone during the rest of the weekend; not even Jaehyun, and walked to school by himself.
"There you are!" Jaehyun ran up to the tired blonde, but stopping halfway to him after noticing the dark circles on his pale skin. "What happened to you?" He asked with a slight hint of disgust in his voice, his eyes scanning Mark from his head to his toes.
Mark wasn't sure if he wanted to talk to Jaehyun after what Haechan had told him the night of the carnival, but at the same time he did. Jaehyun would never keep a secret from Mark--they're each other's only best friends, after all. Jaehyun also seemed oblivious when Mark tried to bring up 'his secret'...although it was only over text...
Mark decided to put most of his trust into Jaehyun, but decided that he would keep one eye opened on Jaehyun throughout the entire day.
Mark shook his head to snap himself out of his thoughts. "I'm fine, I was just up all night doing homework." He sighed, and Jaehyun mouthed an 'Oh'. That's when their day started.
Mark was rather quiet the entire day, too occupied with watching Jaehyun's every move. Mark knew that Jaehyun didn't really express when he liked a person, judging by the only other time he had a crush, which was in their first year when he had the biggest crush on the second year Lee Taeyong. Knowing that, it made Mark focus even more, to the point where he wasn't paying attention to his classes anymore.
He politely brushed people off when they tried to talk to him; especially Tzuyu and Momo. He would only talk to Jae and Sicheng when he really needed to. He was relieved because he wasn't seeing anything between his two friends--until after their dance class.
"Agh, I don't understand how you can be so good at dancing, Sicheng! Dancing makes me frustrated." Jaehyun complained as the three boys walked out of the boys' locker room. Mark quietly walked inbetween the two taller boys, glancing up at either of them from time to time.
Sicheng chuckled. "I'll be okay with...teaching you?" He formed his sentence slowly. "...sometime!" He forgot a word, quickly adding it in.
Mark looked at the ground and smiled to himself. He thought Sicheng's Korean was the cutest.
But so did Jaehyun; Mark just didn't know it.
Jae's face lit up. "Really!? That would be so cool!?"
"Don't really think you need teach...ing, though." Sicheng turned and smiled at Jae. "You good dancer~" he chirped.
Mark felt like a third wheel as he watched Jae's usually pale face go pink. "I-I'm not, really-"
"Of course you are, Jae. Stop denying it." Mark tried ending their conversation, nudging Jaehyun’s side with his elbow. Mark didn't want to be here--he felt like a third wheel. Even though he's the one that actually kissed Sicheng; he didn't want to think about that right now.
Mark mentally slapped himself. There's no way Jaehyun would have a crush on Sicheng, so he tried brushing it off.
"Wow...thanks, Mark." Jae slung an arm around his shorter friend's shoulder.

The rest of the day went normally, but Mark kept on eye on Jaehyun just in case something happened, but nothing did. Sicheng didn't really talk to Mark throughout the day and got flustered when he did make conversation with the blonde, and Mark was the same way.
"Mark!" A hand latched onto the boy's wrist as him, Jae, and Sicheng were walking out of the school. All three boys turned around to see Momo’s tall figure by Mark, gripping onto his wrist.
Without any warning, Momo began dragging Mark away from his friends. The blonde looked back at Jae and Sicheng with a confused look, and the other boys just shrugged.
Momo took him back inside the school building and led him to one of the now empty hallways, making Mark more and more confused with every step he took.
The brunette let go of Mark's arm but when Mark thought that he was free, Momo latched her arms onto his shoulders.
"Mark..." she began. "I'm sorry that I opened my mouth and told other people about your feelings towards Tzuyu." She said suddenly.
Mark's eyes widened. Students talking about him and Tzuyu have died down since the day it erupted, but only sometimes people bother him about it, so he's pretty much unfazed by it at this point. He also cleared things up with Haechan and they're on good terms at this point, or at least Mark thinks that they are.
He pouted a bit, lifting a brow with confusion. "Huh? That's sudden..." he softly spoke, sinking down to get Momo’s hands off of him.
The girl's face fell as she took her hands away from Mark. "I messed up, I'm sorry." Her voice became very quiet as she brushed a strand of hair from her pale face. "I ended up hurting Tzuyu, too..."
Sadness clouded over Mark's expression. "W-What?" He managed to stammer, standing up straight.
Momo pursed her lips and fiddled with her fingers. "She really thought that you liked her, and she just so happened to like you, too. If I hadn't said anything, she wouldn't have came back to me broken hearted after you said that you didn't like her." She looked at the shorter boy in his saddened eyes. "We got into an argument over the weekend and she's not talking to me anymore. She told me that it was my fault."
Mark's heart began to ache. This was all his fault. It didn't matter that Haechan told Momo and that she told Tzuyu, what mattered was that Mark lied to Tzuyu. If he didn't lie, Tzuyu and Momo would still be friends, and maybe Mark wouldn't be in such a large mess...
