Mark and Donghyuck exited the cafeteria; Mark's hand never left the younger boy's back until they reached an empty part of the hallway.

"I'm just going to get to the point..." Mark inahled sharply as he leaned against the wall, crossing his arms. "Why did you tell Tzuyu that I liked her?"

Donghyuck backed up a few steps and laughed. "What are you talking abou-"

"Don't play stupid, Donghyuck!" Mark harshly responded, making Haechan flinch because of the sudden outburst. This wasn't the Mark that he had a crush on. The Mark that he loved was kind and sweet; always putting others before himself and always keeping his cool. But this Mark was angry and cold.

The brown haired boy stayed silent, clasping his hands behind his back and looking at the floor.

"It was you, wasn't it?" Mark was growing impatient for an answer, so he answered for the boy.

Haechan puffed up his cheeks and snapped his head up to look at Mark's irritated face. "It's not what you think, Mark! I didn't want the news to spread like this!" He tried defending himself, but the older boy just scrunched up his nose.

"Then why did you say anything in the first place? You promised that you would keep it a secret!"

Mark was right. He had a reason to be mad at Haechan; he broke a promise.

"Because...I wanted to help you!" Donghyuck blurted, his eyes glossy with tears. Mark's face softened at the sight of Haechan on the verge of tears, and he planted his arms at his sides.

"I just wanted to help, you know? I told Tzuyu's friend Momo to tell her while we were talking because she said that Tzuyu had a crush on you. But I guess she told other people and it started spreading really fast. I'm sorry. I'm an idiot." He laughed a bit at the end as if something were funny, but Mark could tell that he was hurt.

The blonde opened his mouth to reply but Donghyuck turned his back to the boy, wiping his eyes with his sleeves and beginning to walk away. "I hope you understand that I was just trying to help, Mark."

Mark's brown eyes saddened and he stepped away from the wall, grabbing Haechan's wrist and turning him around so that they were facing each other. "Help me with what? Don't you have a crush on me? Why would you help me get with someone else?" He asked question after question, looking into Donghyuck's same colored eyes.

"I used to have a crush on you, Mark Lee. That is, until I realized how much of a jerk you actually are. I just wanted you to like me--even just a little bit, so I tried getting you to date your actual crush." Haechan yanked his wrist from Mark's grasp and turned his back to the blonde, walking away quickly back to the cafeteria.

Mark just stood there, not moving a muscle, watching as Haechan turned the corner and dissapeared from Mark's view.

"Holy crap, you messed up big time." Jaehyun's voice echoed through the empty hallways. He walked into Mark's view along with Sicheng who was trailing behind the blonde.

Mark didn't reply and instead, pressed his back against the wall and slid down until he sat on the cold floor. "I'm such a jerk." He muttered.

"You got that right, buddy." Jaehyun took a seat next to him and Sicheng sat across from them, crossing his legs in a weird fashion. "Why are acting so sympathetic? I thought you found him annoying."

"He is annoying, but..." Mark trailed off, moving his legs so that his knees were close to his chest and he hugged them, placing his chin on the tops of his knees. "I didn't expect him to start crying. The kid's eyes were glossy."

"Well I mean, at least he doesn't have a crush on you anymore?" Jaehyun chuckled nervously and Mark shot him a cold glare. "That's not the point, Jae." He replied, rolling his eyes. "He hates me now. That's two people in one day."

Jaehyun and Sicheng exchanged worried looks before Jaehyun nudged his best friend's side. "Agh, a lot has been going on with you this week; you need a break. Do you want to hang out with me and Sicheng this weekend? It'll get your mind off things."

"And it will be fun!" Sicheng added in, a cute smile on his lips.

Mark chuckled at Sicheng's comment and hid his face inbetween his knees. "Agh, I guess so. I'm not going to do anything this weekend, anyways."

Jaehyun and Sicheng quietly cheered and the tall blonde haired boy patted Mark's back. "Alrighty, then! We should go to that carnival that's in town, that'll be exciting." His voice was full of excitement and Sicheng nodded a million times with the same amount of excitement. Mark just laughed and rose his head with a smile on his face. "Okay, then." He laughed.
