Tzuyu's and Mark's eyes locked on each other. Tzuyu's brows furrowed, and Mark could tell that she was hurt.

"Really? Ah, okay, then." She smiled, pushing hair from in front of her shoulders to behind her.

Mark regretted what he just told his crush. He could feel tears forming in his eyes but he blinked them away before speaking. "Tzuyu, I didn't mean that I-"

"Tzuyu, c'mon! We have to get going!" A tall girl with brown hair that had bangs that covered her forehead approached Tzuyu, latching onto the girl's arm. Tzuyu turned her head to look at the girl and nodded, the corners of her mouth rising into a very small smile. "Ah, okay. You better hurry to class, too, Mark." She said quietly to the blonde, trying not to look at him. "Let's go, Momo."

Mark mentally slapped himself across the face as Tzuyu and Momo walked away. Mark cursed under his breath and waited for the girls to be completely out of his sight before he began heading to his classroom.

"You Tzuyu like?" Sicheng questioned as Mark repeatedly tapped his pencil on his desk.

The  boy stopped tapping his pencil and sighed. "Yeah." He muttered.

"Does she Mark like?"

"Probably not." Mark replied with an irritated tone. "I mean, she might have liked me until my stupid self opened my mouth and said the wrong thing out of panic." He sighed again, turning his head to the side to face Sicheng, who had a mix of a confused and sad look.

"I said that I didn't like her, Sicheng." Mark made it easier for the foreign exchange boy to understand. Sicheng 'oh'ed and asked,"But why?"

"Because I didn't know what to do!" He raised his voice a bit and the teacher shushed the student, making his cheeks go red as he apologized. "I don't really want to talk about it, Sicheng."

The dark haired boy nodded with understanding and looked back down at his own desk and work paper. The two stayed silent for the rest of the class.

In fact, he stayed silent up until lunch. Sicheng and Jaehyun tried to get him to talk before, but he refused to. He wasn't in the mood to do anything. He slacked during classes, didn't talk, and could barely move on his own.

"You're overreacting, Mark. It isn't that bad." Jaehyun rolled his eyes as the three boys arrived at their lunch table.

"It is that bad, Jae." Mark sat down and put his food tray in front of him, picking at his food with his chopsticks. "Now Tzuyu hates me, and it's all Donghyuck's fault."

"Donghyuck?" Sicheng rose an eyebrow as he sat down next to Mark, and Jaehyun sat across from the two.

"What makes you think that Haechan spilled the beans?" Jaehyun asked Sicheng's question.

Mark ate a bit of his rice and looked up at the blonde haired boy. "Because he was the only person besides you that knew about my crush on her. Sicheng didn't know, right?" He moved his head to look at Sicheng and the Chinese boy shook his head with agreement, filling his mouth with noodles.

Jaehyun pursed his lips, taking his chopsticks in between his fingers. "Where is Donghyuck today, anyways? Did he answer your texts at all?" Mark looked down at his food, picking at some things and eating large mouthfuls of others.

"Huh?" Jaehyun furrowed his eyebrows in a confused manner. "Donghyuck's at school today. He's just hanging out with other people; I guess he doesn't want to be around us." He pointed his chopsticks at a table on the other side of the cafeteria where Haechan and a few other boys sat. Mark looked away from his tray to look at Haechan, and Sicheng did the same. They noticed that the boy's hair changed from it's bright red to a natural brown.

"That's why I didn't recognize him; he dyed his hair. Do you think he did that so that I wouldn't notice him?" Mark whipped his head back to face Jaehyun, who shrugged.

"How am I supposed to know? Maybe he just wanted to try a new hair color." Jae pointed out and Sicheng nodded. "Why are you even asking where he is?"

"Because I wanted to talk to him." Mark bluntly replied. "And now that I know where he is..." he stood up, neatly placing his chopsticks next to his tray. "I'm gonna go see if he'll talk to me. Sicheng, can you take care of my tray?" He asked and Sicheng nodded as he watched Mark make his way through the cafeteria and to Donghyuck's table.

He approached the table where the used to be red head was sitting, talking with a group of boys that looked even younger than him, except for maybe one or two.

Mark hesitated for a minute before reaching over and tapping Haechan's shoulder. Everyone at the table stopped eating and talking and looked at the older boy. They all seemed uncomfortable.

"Haechan..." Mark used his nickname, which sounded so foreign on the tongue, and looked at the other boys who were looked anywhere else except Mark. "Can I talk to you?"

One boy, who was actually in Mark's year who the blonde knew as Jeno, scooted closer to Donghyuck, wrapping his arm around the boy's shoulder. "Actually, Mark, he doesn't want to talk to you right now..."

A slight frown formed on Mark's face. "Ah, c'mon Jeno, c'mon Haechan! I just want to talk to him. You're acting like I'm going to do something bad." He rolled his brown eyes then set his gaze back on Donghyuck who was looking down at his half empty tray.

Mark's eyes then saddened and he slowly reached for Donghyuck's shoulder, lightly brushing off Jeno's arm.

He lowered himself so that he head was level with Donghyuck's. Their faces were now just inches apart. He heard excited gasps from the boys and Haechan tried to look away, but his eyes locked with Mark's.

"Just come with me, please." Mark ignored the snickering boys and paid attention to Donghyuck who looked uncomfortable for a bit before nodding. "Fine." He whispered and stood up from his seat, expanding the space between him and Mark. The blonde gave him a smile and stood up straight. "Great! Let's talk in private, though. There's too many people in the cafeteria still." He said as friendly as possible, and moved closer to Donghyuck, placing his hand on the small of his back and began leading him out of the crowded room.

He felt Haechan stiffen up. Usually, the boy's mouth would be running, but he was completely silent.

Mark too was feeling nervous. Why? The feeling of being close to Haechan made it hard for Mark to breathe, and having his hand on his back sent an electric shock through his body. His heart began beating faster, but Mark didn't know why.
