The Unthinkable

Rajae POV

Walking into the house I put the food on the counter. Arii went upstairs to clean her head off. Then she yelled.

"Rajae!"

"What?"

"It's gone!" She ran down the stairs looking scared.

"The money's gone." She said out of breath.

I ran upstairs and into the room looking at the spot I last left it.

"Did you move it?"

"No!"

"Shit. Someone was in here."

"Who do you think it was?"

My mind filled with possibilities. Who could've been here? I went to my closet and pulled out a small black box. I walked over to Arii and looked her in the face.

"I was waiting for the right time but I'm starting to run out of it." I said.

She looked at me confused so I just said it.

"Make me a promise." I said.

"A promise for what?"

"Just incase I don't come back." I reached down and grabbed her hand.

"Incase you go where? Where are you going?" She started to cry.

I put the 7k diamond ring on her finger.

"Just promise you'll be faithful to me. Promise you'll hold it down for me 'till I come back and take care of Tiana." She cried and wrapped her arms around me. I hugged her back.

"I promise."

Arii POV

"Rajae there's something I gotta tell you." I began. Then there was a knock on the door downstairs.

"Go get it. Tell me when you come back." He said.

I sighed and turned towards the stairs. As I walked downstairs I wiped my face off.

"Who is it?" I yelled through the door.

"POLICE OPEN UP."

Police? Before I got to the door about 10 S.W.A.T Team members rushed through the door knocking it off the henges. On guy tackled me to the ground. Then the other three ran through the house.

"Check upstairs!" One yelled.

"Let me go! Get off me!" I yelled.

I saw them dragging Rajae down the stairs. They laid him face down on the ground and put their knees on his back. They cuffed him and read him his rights.

"Everything gon' be aight just chill." He said to me. The S.W.A.T member had a tight grip on my stomach and the pressure was hurting me.

"Ow let me go your hurting me." I kept saying.

They lifted Rajae off the ground and started walking him to the door.

"Get yo fuckin' hands off her!" He yelled.

"Shut the fuck up!" The guy punched him in his jaw and he stumbled down a little. He looked back up at me and blood was running down his mouth.

"Don't hit him like that!" I started crying again. I followed them outside and saw about 8 squad cars with the red and blue sirens lighting up the houses. The neighbors were all on their lawns watching the scene. Watching them take my love away.

"You promise?" He said to me.

"I promise." I said back.

They ducked his head down in the car and closed the door. The sirens and the lights slowly faded away as they drove off. I walked back into the house and looked at the broken door. How the hell am I gonna fix this. What am I gonna do now?
