Sleeping Alone

Arii POV

"Yeah it's me." He said through the phone. Tears started rolling down my face as I smiled from ear to ear.

"I miss you so much." I whispered through the phone.

"Ummm it's only been a couple a hours." He said back.

"It feels like a couple of days."

"What you doin'?" He asked.

"Umm. Nothing just watching tv and trying to figure out how to fix this door." I wiped my face and walked to the bathroom. Looking in the mirror I noticed my face looked swollen. Shit.

"Aww don't even worry about that, I called Kevin and told him wassupp. He'll be there shortly and get that taken care of."

"I thought you only got one phone call?" I said a little upset. I shoulda beem his first call not Kevin.

"I do but I worked something out with the Head Detective."

"So why did you call Kevin first? I'm your girlfriend I should of been your first call." I stared back at the mirror and turned to the side examining my body. I just shook my head.

"Man why do it matter? I called you right?"

I didn't answer.

"Ohh you can't hear now?"

"Yeah you did call me."

"Aight then.... 'You have 60 seconds left on this call' What you finna go do the call finna end."

"I don't know prolly umm..." I dropped to my knees and hunched over the toilet. I started throwing up everything I ate last night and this morning. I sat back against the wall and caught my breath. Putting the phone back to my ear I heard Rajae asking me....

"You aight?"

I began to think. Should I tell him?

"Yeah I'm fine. Probally something I ate."

"What ever. Imma call you a little later aight?"

"Yeah. I love you."

"Luh you too."

I put the phone down and stood up. I opened the drawer under the sink and picked up the pregnancy test. After doing my business I sat it on the sink and washed my hands. I heard someone downstairs and I immediately got scared. I grabbed the wood bat from behind the bedroom door and quietly walked downstairs. It was dark but I saw a tall silhouette walked to towards me. I swung the bat and he ducked.

"WHOA WHOA WHAT THE FUCK YOU DOIN'?!" He yelled. I flipped on the lights and saw Kevin standing there holding his chest.

"Kevin?!" I yelled.

"What the fuck you doin'?"

"Rajae told me to come fix the door. Damn. You aight?"

"Yeah I'm fine."

2 Hours Later

Kevin finally fixed the door and left. I went up to my room and took a hot shower. Getting out I dried my hair and out on shorts and a tank top. I shut off the lights and climbed into bed. It was empty, dark, and cold. I wrapped my eyes around my body and closed my eyes. Don't you just love sleeping alone?
