Cops And Opps

Arii POV

I woke up with a lot on my mind. I looked behind me and saw Rajae fast asleep. His face was tensed up like he was having a hard time sleeping. I got our the bed and went to the bathroom.

I opened the door to the guest room and headed towards Tiana. Sooner or later me and Rajae gon' have to redecorate this room since she's gonna be living here now. I carried her downstairs to get breakfast started when the doorbell rang.

"Who is it?" I yelled.

"Ms. Moore I'm with the CPD can you open the door?" The women said.

Chicago Police Department? What the hell are the doing here? I shifted Tiana on my hip and opened the door to two detectives, one male one female.

Rajae POV

I stretched across the bed not wanting to be bothered. I heard Arii talking so I got up and went to the bathroom.

Making my way down the stairs I heard Arii talking about me being upstairs. O came around the corner and saw her and Tiana at the door.

"Who at the door?" I asked.

She turned around then opened the door wider and I was face to face with two detectives.

"Hi, I'm Detective Cynthia Juarez and this is my partner Detective Joe Parker, we have you listed as a suspect in the murder of Diamond Jones and Justus Brown. Might we come in and ask you two a few questions? (S/N:Idk his last name in real life lol)

I immediately got nervous. How the fuck was I on the list when I covered my tracks?

" Come in." I said.

Arii let them in and led us all to the living room. Sitting down they began interrogating us.

"Mr. Moore where were you Wednesday around 11:45??" Detective Juarez asked.

I looked at her with a straight face and said...

"I was at the show."

"When you say 'the show' you mean a car show?" Detective Parker asked. I looked at this mf like he was stupid.

"No sir I was at the movies."

"Would you mind telling us what movie you went and saw?" Juarez asked.

I got quiet. I aint think they'd go that far.

"We went and saw Halloween ll." Arii spoke up. Everyone looked at her.

"Do you still have the tickets?" Asked Juarez.

Just when I thought we was caught Arii pulled to tickets for the 11:30 show out her bra. Where she get them from?

"Here." She handed them over and they looked at the time.

"Ok what about Tuesday morning around 9am??"

Damn with these questions!

"I was home sleeping." I said.

The wrote things down on their pads and the Detective Parker asked to got to the bathroom.

"Upstairs on your right." I said.

"Well sense your stories checked out we have no further reason for questioning so thanks for your time. Who's the cutie?" She asked referring to Tiana.

"My uh..." I aint know if I should say niece or daughter.

"She's our daughter." Arii said looking at me strange.

"She's beautiful." The detective said with a smile. Just then Detective Parker came downstairs and they left.

After I closed the door I asked Arii where she got the tickets from and how did she get the right time.

"Me and Jada went and saw Halloween while my mom watched Tiana. I just so happened to have the tickets so I used them." She said.

"Ohh. I'm hungry." I said.

"What you want to eat?"

"I don't know. Just make me something." I said.

She went to the kitchen and I started to feel a little bit of relief. But now I gotta watch for cops.

Detective Parker POV

After dropping Detective Juarez and the squad car off I made a personal call out.

??- "Yo"

Me- "Yeah I don't know how man but his story checks out. He was at the movies last night with his girlfriend." I said into the phone.

??- "Man you know dass bullshit. Did you find what I asked you to?"

Me- "I didn't have enough time to fully search the house but I found a new $100,000 watch on his dresserr. He couldn't afford that working at Footlocker right?" I asked playing around with the watch.

??- "Man I guess. Aye hit my line later I'm in a meeting."

Me- "Alright.. Hey! Your still gonna pay me right?"

??- "Man get off my sick I said Imma pay yo ass chill the fuck out."

Me- "Come on Rio man, I got debts to and bills to pay. I need this money."

Rio- "Alright I'll make you a deal. I'll pay you $750,000 for a delivery."

I thought for a minute. That's a lot of money.

Me- "What do you want?"

Rio- "Bring me the baby."
