We all finally got into the swing of our courses, and the bathroom schedule was working out, well, mostly unless someone forgot to lock the door; Frazier.

We even found time to study and spent more time down at the pub, which became the place to go to even with Cole bringing his brothers from time to time. That also resulted in drunken antics, but that's a story for another time.

We even met Amy, and she was sweet. I could tell Cole, and she smote with each other. She was finishing up this semester at her school, then transferring to our school since they had the courses she needed to finish up her degree. I've never seen a guy so happy, well, except for Ryan when finally arrived here.

Ryan and my first official anniversary of us together were fast approaching, and I had no clue what we were doing. I didn't even know if he had anything planned, being busy with our classes. I figured maybe it was just going to be one of those days. So, I dropped hints all day long, and Ryan didn't get it. So I gave up.

We were in the lounge, and he was lying on the couch. I was sitting in a chair across from him, reading a book. Yes, I know nerdy, but I love to read.

He looked at his phone and smiled. I saw him put it down and go back to the TV. So I went back to my book. His phone went off again, and he smiled. That went on for twenty minutes. Finally, I put my book down, "Who are you talking to?"

"What?" Ryan asked me.

"Well, every time your phone goes off, you smile, then put your phone down," I informed him, feeling agitated.

"Oh, it's nothing," he replied calmly.

His phone went off again. I couldn't sit there anymore. So, I snatched up his phone and opened the messages. It was from someone named 'hot stuff,' and there were flirty text messages. He got up, wanting his phone back. "You want your phone back?"

"It would be nice," he said.

"Here, take it," I yelled, throwing his phone past him. Childish, I know, but I didn't care.

"Alex?" he exclaimed.

I snatched up my book and stormed off. I left the dorm and went for a walk. I sat down on the bench, and my phone was blowing up with calls from Ryan. I ignored them all. I still felt insecure after all this time. The others called me, and I ignored them.

After an hour, I headed back to my room. Today was our first anniversary, and Ryan was texting another girl. I felt like scum. Maybe he lost interest in me. They say it happens; then, they moved onto the next one. I felt defeated as I did with our first date.

I went to my room to wallow. I opened the door. A table is in the center of the room with candles and red roses in the center.

He had his back to me, looking out the window. I closed the door and walked over to the table. He turned around. "It's about time you showed up. I figured you had forgotten our anniversary," he grinned. I glared at him.

He walked towards me. "Oh, I changed Frazier's name in my phone to hot stuff. I swear sometimes, I think he bats for the same team."

Now I felt like crap.

"Alex, I needed to surprise you without you having to suspect it. It's a little harder when we share a bathroom," he explained.

He gave me a small smile.

"I'm sorry for yelling at you," I mumbled.

"Did you think I would forget our anniversary? It was also the day we shared our first kiss, and you thought I would kill you, hiding your body in the woods," he reminded me.
