After the party incident, we steered clear of fraternity parties for a while. I wanted to experience the college, but not at the expense of drunken, sleepless nights. Plus, there's always some chaos we all get involved.
Halloween was coming up, and we skipped the costume party. I partied out and wanted to spend a quiet night watching horror films. The guys had other plans. It seems they found an actual haunted house, not the kind those volunteers set up and charge for to get in. No, this one was free; all we had to do was to stay the night.
Classes were out for a long weekend, so we had Halloween free and the day after. I guess Halloween is a favorite around here. I was straightening up when I felt arms snake around my waist.
"Hey, you," I greeted him.
"Hey," he said, kissing me on the cheek. "What are you doing?"
"Cleaning up, and if you were wise, you would do the same. Your guy's side is atrocious," I commented.
"Hey, I keep my area neat. Blame the mess on the two slobs; I call roommates," he replied.
"Still, you guys should clean. Do you know I found, what maybe is a slice of pizza, but didn't want to find out, under your bed?" I said, giving him a questionable look.
"I blame Frazier," he shrugged.
I hit him with a pillow, which turned into a pillow fight with him, pinning me on my bed. He looked at me, leaning in and giving me a soft kiss.
As we kissed, my door swung open with the others coming in, acting excited. Ryan stopped and threw his head down, exasperated.
"Will you two stop sucking face for two minutes?" asked Frazier.
"They're always sucking face. What else is new?" Added Jordan.
I pushed Ryan off of me and sat up. He propped himself up on his elbows. "I miss my room," he mumbled. I elbowed him, "Ow, quit it." I glared at him.
"You were saying," I say to them.
"We did something different for Halloween this year, and no, it doesn't include a party," Frazier said, bouncing in his seat. Marissa tried to get him to calm down, which he pulled her onto his lap and kiss her.
"Seriously? You interrupted us to make out with your girlfriend," I yelled.
"Well, what asinine over there was saying is, we found something else to do," Jordan pointed at Frazier.
"Well, spit it out, man," I said, growing impatient.
Frazier stood up, dropping Marissa on the floor. "We will stay in an actual haunted house."
"Ow, Frazier," she yelled, rubbing her hip.
"Oh, sorry, love," he apologized as he helped her up.
I rolled my eyes. "Continue."
"Anyway, before putz here dropped his girlfriend, tomorrow night we are all going to stay in an actual haunted house and camp out," Jordan finished.
"Remember what happened last year?" I asked them.
"Yeah, so, Ryan got to deal with your pissy mood, not us." I glared at Jordan, and he shrugged, "Perks of being your boyfriend. He gets to deal with you."
I looked at Ryan, and he shrugged. "Can't fault him for being right." I hit him with a pillow.
"Point made," Jordan said a matter of fact.
"Okay, I'll do it on one condition," I told them.
"What's that?" Elena asked.
"If any of you pull the stunt you did last year, you get to sleep outside for the night," I suggested.
