10: First Encounter

: Elaine’s POV:

We went to our first class like nothing happened, awkwardness left us a while ago since we’ve already introduced ourselves to each other.

Uhmm Elaine can you accompany me today in buying school stuffs?? You know naman na I’m not really that familiar in the places here?

Drake sorry but I think I can’t come kasi we have a meeting with the math org regarding dun sa mga props na pinapagawa nila samin..i mean sa atin since part ka na ng org naming.

Okay so do you mind going after???magkasama rin naman pala tayo whole day..don’t worry I’ll be in charge of all the expenses..feeling ko di ako mananalo dito ah..sabagay sabi nya naman sagot nya lahat ng gastos..sige lang sama na ako kahit kakakilala lang naming

Sure thing, about that, may bibilhin din naman ako sa mall para dun sa mga props..by the wa---

So close na pala kayo nung transferee na pamangkin ni mam principal? Bakit siya naiinis eh acquainted lang kami, anu bang nangyayari kay espren?

 Umalis na ako nakakainis lang talaga, pag siya pwedeng magalit tas pag ako parang ako pa ang mali lagi..napansin ko nalang si Drake na nasa likod ko na..and I know na narinig niya lahat ng pinagusapan naming

It seems that someone is jealous ha?

Talaga? It seems na ayaw nya ang presensiya ko, just tell me okay if I need to keep my distance to you..

Oy anu ka ba sabi ko naman sayo we’re just friends and nothing else, we’ve just had a misunderstanding that’s all don’t mind him..

Ewan ko ba sa mga tao ngayon overacting masyado..eto naming si Drake eh kabago bago nagpapaka cool agad..

By the way Drake that’s Daniel he’s the president of the math org that we will be meeting up later..

Okay let’s just get into class before his piercing eyes kill me..

Natatawa pa siya nung sinabi niya yun, nakita ko si Daniel, S@#$! Anyare dun?ang sama makatingin..

Natapos ang class namin by 4pm, we have one hour to prepare for the meeting, Drake seems to be doing fine kasi naman yung topic namin kanina sa Algebra is very basic sa kanya eh kasi naman dapat college na talaga siya ngayon kaso hindi na sya umabot sa enrollment period ng college.

Habang naglalakad kami papunta sa conference hall nagulat ako sa tanong ni Drake

Don’t play dumb with me Elaine I know you like him, the way you look at him, it’s really deep affection. he gave me a weird smile, pero pano nya yun nalaman am I really obvious?? I just reacted as if I didn’t hear his words, we ended up in front of the conference hall, we were just staring at the door, siguro kaya rin ang gaan ng loob ko sa mokong na toh parehas kasi kami ng ugali, laging may sariling mundo, even though na 6 hours palang kami nagkakilala.

:Drake’s POV:

Nakatingin lang kami sa pinto ayos! Elaine seems to be thinking something deep and I know it’s about the thing that I said. Elaine’s really beautiful it’s just that she’s not aware of it. If I was this Daniel, I would be so lucky to have Elaine and maybe she’s not just my Best friend but my Girl friend too.

Hey aren’t we going in? it’s already quarter to 5 and I think were the only ones who’s not yet inside..

Ahmm yeah, sorry something just came up in my mind

She became pale, I think I’m right she really likes him, but why is she avoiding him? Never mind I wanna enjoy my 1st day and I’ll be still with her later when I buys this school stuff list that my aunt gave me.

Being a gentleman I was the first one to hold the knob and opened it for her, I was right everyone was there sitting in the table and I’m also right that were the only one who’s not in. she was behind me hiding her pale face.

Guys sit down so we may begin the meeting, Elaine have you finish the canvass that will be posted in the math museum?

Elaine was still pale and though she was attentive with the question she just moved her head horizontally to say that it was still not done

What?! You’re still not finish?? The event will happen three days from now, Elaine naman alam mo na mahigpit kami sa time, kelan mo pa balak tapusin yan?

 I don’t like his attitude towards her, masyadong mataas, he thinks he can make others do his things with his own time table, as I look to Elaine she was just looking down, I know, she was insulted by this, then I started to talk

Excuse me, I saw the painting and it’s almost finish, I just wish that you won’t pressure her like this she seems having some hard time managing her stuffs

The Daniel guy was staring at me like I did something very wrong

Mr. Drake thanks for your concern towards her but she was the one who committed to do this and it is her responsibility to finish it right??

But maybe you should be a little bit softer in saying these things, she’s a lady and it’s right to treat her this way

Oh I see, I’ve known her for a long time and I know my limits to her so just save your lect—

Just stop it okay??!!! I’ll finish it tonight Daniel!! Nakakahiya naman kasi sayo, ako yung mali sige na,

She stormed out of the room not even glancing once more, all was speechless and shocked, I followed her and I already saw her sobbing like a young child.

She stopped in front of the Art org room and sat down bursting into tears, I came to her trying to calm her down

I’m sorry for what I did kanina Elaine, I shouldn’t talk that much since I’m new here, but I just can’t take girls treated like that, stop crying please,, shhhh shhh

She lifts up her face as I saw her reddish nose and cheeks, her watery brown eyes are so fragile for me to stare, she hugged and started crying again. Oh my Elaine!
