40: Prom part 3

:Drake's POV:

Waiting here in the hotel, was I think the longest wait i had in my lifetime. I can say I'm partly ecstatic and nervous at the same time.

I don't know how will Elaine react if she sees me later. I've prepared myself for this night and I know it will be not easy for me to be with her.

Elaine's mom prepared evrything, the suit i'm wearing, the hotel i'm staying and the car i will be using.

I'm planning to have a midnight dinner with her after the prom so i could explain everything to her.

My concern is, is she willing to give me another chance? I hope that luck is with me tonight.

By 6pm I left the hotel and headed to our school. I can say the design and the event was beautifully done by Elaine, I know she can do it without me.

I brought a mask because i know anyone can recognize and might sabotage my plan to surprise Elaine. I didn't go to our table because i know she would be there.

I remember how i promised her that i will be her first and last dance. I hate myself for breaking that promise because right after the cottillion I saw how Elaine and Daniel dance passionately in the dancefloor.

I saw how they looked at each other, it hurts but I know it's my fault of why instead of me, she was dancing with somebody else.

I hate to admit, but i can see love in their eyes, I've always known that Elaine can never stop loving him and Daniel to her too.

Everyone was getting their partners and dance their night in the stage.

After the song, i saw Elaine back on their table. She was lonely, she was almost crying when I walked to her and wore my mask.

"Can i dance this lovely queen infront of me?"

She looked at me surprised with her tears falling down to her cheeks. She didn't repond immediately, she just stood up and walked to the dancefloor.

I got her hands when we slowly started swaying.

I'm lying alone with my head on the phone

I know you had to, but what else can we do? Tormented and torn apart

"I'm sorry" that's the first thing that came from my mouth, she just looked at me while crying.

"I know how painful it is to be left, you have all the right to angry with me, just please don't cry" I don't how am i suppose to calm her down.

She wasn't talking at all, but she tightened her hold on my waist knowing that sheis already on the verge of breaking down.

"Akala ko hindi na kita makikita kahit kailan" she looked at me intently, with her eyes covered in tears.

I wiped her tears and pulled her into a hug, kissing her forehead.

I wish I could carry the smile in my heart the times in my life seems so low

If you make me believe what tommorow could bring when today doesn't really know

If I can only make time stop and only us would move, I would desparately do that this moment.

I can feel her sob, and it hurts me bad to see her again in this state.

I can't be too late to say that I was so wrong.

We held each other so tight, that we didn't care if others would be reacting. I held her hand, kissed it and placed it in my chest.

I don't know how many songs have passed, i just know that right now i can't let her go.

We just stopped when the host was about to announce the King and Queen of the night.

"And last, for the King and Queen of the night, who do you think it is?" Everyone was shouting different names and i can say that i wanted it to be Elaine.

"Okay for the king and queen may we call on, Ms. Buenavides and Mr. Dimayuga! Congratulations the pair got the most votes"

I looked at Elaine, she was shocked and she didn't know what to do. She lightly wiped her tears when Daniel came up and picked her up to the stage.

Everyone was clapping hands and cheering at the same time. Elaine was really beautiful with her clothes it really suits her to be called queen only that i wish i would be the king.

They gave their thanks to the students, they went down for the traditional for the king and queen and after all of the students are invited again in the stage.

I can say they look well together as a couple but i would be like wasting myself to be here if would be allowing that.

Elaine wasn't talking at all, she would be giving a faint smile occassionaly but i know her mind wasn't with her anymore.

The student council president and Elaine was now asked in the stage for the transfer of seniority to the third year representatives.

Everyone was now asked to be in the quadrangle for the last song and the singing for the school's alma mater hymn.

The program was ended by my aunt, which was the schools principal. Photoshoots and a lot of crying was present here, since now everyone can feel the upcoming graduation.

I can see Elaine with her friends were taking a lot of pictures. While some of the guys were also trying to get pictures with her.

But when i saw that it was Daniel now talking to her, i suddenly felt a sharp pain of jealousy, i don't know why but it hurts to see that they were almost okay.

They were taking a lot of picture together, and occassionaly she would look at me like she was asking for my permission.

After all those photo taking, i walked towards her and she was just looking at me.

"Ikaw ba talaga yan, o sobrang malala na ako at nag daday dream ako sa ganitong klaseng panahon"

I removed my mask and she was more surprised, she ran to me and gave me a hug, i hugged her back. "Ano, naniniwala ka na? I'm real Elaine, i have a lot of things to explain, and this is not the right place so let's go?"

"Saan naman tayo pupunta? Andyan yung driver namin, baka magalit si mommy and yung suo---"

"Shhhhh..." I place my finger on her mouth for her to stop talking. "I got it all covered, so don't you worry and let's go before someone grabs you away again for a picture, samantalang ako, i don't have a picture with you"

She just walked towards to the parking lot. I unlocked my car so she would which car to go to. I opened the front door and let her in before i went to the driver's seat

"By the way you really look very beautiful that everyone was drooling over you" she blushed so much " and I miss you so much" i pinched her cheek, before i started the engine and drove off.
