"Clearly she's not, man. She's dead." Rhett didn't mean to sound so harsh and uncaring, but the evidence was in front of them plain as day. Her chest hadn't risen or fallen with breaths, there wasn't the possibility of a noise of protest with her throat ripped clean out...

Link began trembling again. "N-No." His eyes welled with tears. He was afraid, because who they thought was the wolf clearly wasn't, and if she wasn't the wolf that meant that somebody else had turned into this raging homicidal maniac. This also meant that Terra's twin that she had been looking for was now dead, and there wasn't going to be a reunion.

They were going to have to be the ones to break the news to her. Link especially wanted to be the one, along with Rhett, to tell her before the police could. Rhett's heart beat somberly in his chest. He watched as Mike and Alex approached the stage, climbing up the steps and eyeing the gaping hole in the wall. Mike's eyes landed on Tessa and he gasped. "Oh my god, is that Terra?!"

"No. It's her twin sister, Tessa," Rhett said, puckering his lips as if he'd tasted acid.

The four of them stood in stunned silence as they looked over the deceased girl. The only one who wasn't looking was Link. The fact that her eyes were literally stuck open sent massive shivers up and down his spine. He imagined that she had opened her eyes wide and screamed before the wolf ripped her throat out, and then she hit the ground and bled out all over herself and the stage.

He shuddered again, wrapping his arms tight around himself as he rocked himself back and forth. The only sounds that were audible in the room was the slight whisper of the wind that crept through the opening in the wall, and the intakes of breath as they breathed with static force.

Rhett couldn't peel his eyes away from her, and lowered himself to the ground and reached forward to touch her hand. Laying his hand over hers, he felt her skin starting to grow cool and clammy as her body temperature began to plummet. His throat felt like it was caving in, and tears threatened to sneak up on him.

Despite the fact that Terra had nearly killed his best friend, he felt like she didn't deserve this. She was looking for her sister for a long time and now they had to tell her that she was never going to see her alive again. He could only imagine how she was going to take it, and he swore that he was already empathizing for her.

Mike's lips were curled into a deep frown, and even though he didn't know Terra that well, he couldn't stop his honey brown eyes from watering. Alex looked in his direction and clasped him reassuringly on the shoulder, even though he was ripped apart on the inside as well. Rhett slowly removed his hand from hers and he looked up at the three of them, shaking his head slowly. "We have to tell her," he choked, bringing his wrist up to his mouth.

Link took a deep breath, raising his eyes toward the ceiling. That was the last thing on the planet he wanted to do, but he knew it should be them and not the police. There was no telling what was going to happen now that she could sprout fangs and claws at the drop of a hat.

Alex gripped his own arm, lowering his eyes. "I think the police might be coming. I heard somebody call them in... we can stay here as witnesses and you guys can go tell her if you want," he offered quietly, and Mike nodded his head in agreement. Link lowered his eyes for a brief moment and he met Rhett's, the both of them agreeing that it would be a good idea with just a look.

Rhett rose to his feet, looking over his shoulder at her one last time. He then looked at Alex and Mike, his features sullen. "You guys give us a call as soon as you're done and we'll be here to pick you up. Do not for any reason leave this building until we come back, you hear?"
