"Yes, I can unfreeze the time but we need to talk first. I met Mercedes. A younger Mercedes, and we talked. This is Jackson," Link introduced, gesturing broadly to the frozen hooded man. Rhett looked toward Jackson with worried eyes before fixing them on Link again.

"He married a woman named Amelia in Burbank ten years ago. They were in a deadly accident," Link started, his voice wavering, almost afraid that Jackson would unfreeze himself and kill the both of them in cold blood right there. He saw Rhett's eyebrow furrow in question and he held his hand up to stall any questions. He was in explanation mode right now. "There was an Alpha werewolf by the name of Samantha; and she was Terra, Tessa, and Teegan's grandmother. She found the two of them and decided to bite them to see if she could turn them, and it turned out that she could. They became a part of her pack and became a close, tight knit wolf pack." Link paused to catch his breath, and he could see the curiosity glistening in Rhett's eyes.

"Teegan, being the spiteful little spit of fire that he was murdered his grandmother in cold blood so he could become the Alpha."

Rhett's jaw dropped and he tilted his head to the side, winded. His eyes widened and he clutched at his chest before gaping at his friend again.

"That means he was a werewolf before right? Oh my god. He's the Alpha? He's the one we've been dealing with this whole time? That explains so much... like how he knows you," Rhett was rambling as he began to pace and Link jutted forward to take Rhett by the shoulders.

"That's not the worst part. Jackson and Amelia were ravaged and devastated by the death of their Alpha and they found a little girl by the name of Allison O'Neill in the adoption system. They adopted her and raised her for a while before killing her." Link watched as Rhett's cheeks visibly took on a hot touch.

His nostrils began to flare. "You're meaning to tell me that Teegan had a daughter, and in order to get back at him, this jackhole killed a little girl?"

Link could only nod his head with tears boiling in his eyes and Rhett shook his head, unable to fathom how somebody could do something so cruel to a defenseless child.

"He knows his daughter is dead and now he's pissed. He's an angry, power hungry Alpha werewolf and now he's trying to make this German legend a thing. Rhett... please don't get angry," Link pleaded before telling him what he knew he wasn't going to want to hear. "We have to protect Terra in order to stop him. Right now he's powerful, but imagine how much more powerful he would become if he got his hands on Terra."

Rhett blinked several times. Link's eyes welled with tears and his lips began to tremble, and he fixed his glasses on his face before choking out the words that were choking him all this time.

"He's got our blood pact."

Rhett's breath hitched, and Link could even see Rhett's eyes watering.

"How," Rhett stammered, lowering his eyes as he tried to process everything he had just been told.

"Mercedes... M-Mercedes told me that we're both special, Rhett. Me because I obviously have some weird power thing going on... But you, there's something special about you too. It's in our blood and he's somehow able to use that to his advantage. I have yet to figure out why."

Rhett looked into Link's eyes and he suddenly pulled Link in for a hug. His grip was fierce and brotherly, as if he was reassuring Link that their brotherly bond will last forever without even using words. Rhett took to thinking. They needed to formulate a plan of some sort, and the gears began to turn. He pulled Link away from him, looking him hard in the eyes.

"We still need to find Allison. Where is she? We can find her while time is still frozen. Are we the only two that are unfrozen?"

Link nodded his head, adjusting his glasses.

"Yes. I only unfroze you."

Rhett nodded quickly, a look in his eyes that reassured Link that he had a plan of some sort.

"Show me where you found the body in your dream."

Link took off toward the kitchen, and Rhett followed hot on his heels. They maneuvered through the kitchen without much ease, for all of the garbage that littered the floor nearly tripped them up on several occasions. Link stopped in front of the corner where he had in his dream and he took the black garbage bag into his hand like he had in his dream, mentally preparing himself for the anguish he was about to unleash on both himself and Rhett.

They were both fathers and couldn't even think for one second about something like this happening to one of their kids. Even to each other's kids. There was just no way. Link slowly began peeling the garbage bag away, and as he did so, there was a putrid stench like a meal that had been spoiling in the fridge for centuries. He couldn't tell what it was from but he could only imagine as the bag peeled away with a 'plastic tearing on the floor' sound.

He grimaced as he tossed the bag to the side, the particular spot in the worn linoleum clearly evident that a body sized lump of it had been cut out of the floor. He stooped to his knees and began feverishly pulling the linoleum up, Rhett bringing his wrist up to his mouth as his eyes watered.

One by one, Link slowly began to reveal the body of a small girl nestled in the floor board structure that kept the house together. He tossed the pieces to the side as he peeled them away like a dog digging in the dirt and then stopped to gape at her. She looked exactly like she had in his dream, and he couldn't help the tear that snuck out of his eye. He heard Rhett gag behind him and he turned his head to look over at Rhett who was doubled over. When Rhett straightened himself up, there was a dangerous glint in his eyes.

"Unfreeze him." Rhett's tone was blunt and Link rose to his feet with his lips slightly apart.

"What?"

"Unfreeze Jackson."

Link shook his head. "That doesn't seem like a good idea when we have nothing to protect ourselves with against him. He's a werewolf wielding a knife remember."

"Oh I've got something to protect myself with," Rhett said through his teeth as he stormed off toward the living room where Jackson was standing. Link followed behind him timidly, stopping in the doorway as Rhett stood in front of Jackson and rolling up his sleeves. Rhett inclined his head toward Jackson.

"Unfreeze him."

Link swallowed and slowly trudged through the living room, his eyes fixated on Jackson. He slowly rose his hand, making contact with Jackson's shoulder with his fingertips. The blueness was sucked into his fingertips and Jackson stumbled backward. Link jumped, his eyes widened.

Rhett lurched forward and landed a deafening, skull cracking punch to Jackson's face, Jackson falling to the ground with a thud. Rhett stalked over to him and stood over his body, then stooped, resting his elbows against his knees. He tilted his head to the side as he looked at him, his hood having fallen from his face. He had full lips which now had a gash gushing blood from the upper portion. Link turned his head away as his stomach churned.

"I say we find something to restrain this guy, stuff him into the backseat of the car, unfreeze time altogether and take him to my house to question him."

"Are you sure you want to do that? Our kids are at your house," Link pointed out, his voice straining.

Rhett pursed his lips. "We take him to your house then." He rose to his feet, the authoritative aura beaming around him once again. "Let's get him restrained before he gains consciousness again. Then you unfreeze time and we call the police and alert them to the body. We'll have to get out of here fast."

Link was unbelieving of this, shaking his head slowly. He was hoping they weren't biting off more than they could chew.

He sure hoped Rhett knew what he was doing.
