He didn't realize Jessie had come in and he took a deep breath. "Sorry, I,-"

She interrupted him with a tight embrace. "Listen to me, I never want to hear you talk like that again alright? You have no idea what you're capable of."

Rhett looked into the eyes of his wife, sounding so wise. She reached into the bag slung over her shoulder and pulled the book out, thick and leatherbound. She pressed it into Rhett's chest gently. "Hopefully this will have the answers that we need." Rhett took the book from her hands and looked at the cover, feeling more hope than he ever had before. If his theory was correct, he definitely knew they were on the right track.

Lily, Locke, and Lincoln huddled together in Locke's room. They were sitting in the middle of the floor, with the drawn out map laid before them. Lincoln pointed to the map with a ruler, indicating Rhett's house.

"So here's the plan. We ask mom if we can take our bikes out for a spin. We head to Home Depot, buy the supplies that we need, and then we come back." He paused to point to Home Depot, and then he pointed to Rhett's house again. "After dinner, we have dessert, and then we all go to bed as if we have nothing planned and we're not sneaking out of the house," Lincoln finished in a matter of fact tone. Lily giggled. None of them had ever done anything this crazy before. Their parents had a fairly tight grip on them, since they were living in L.A.

"Then we sneak out of the house after dark and everyone is asleep and we go to the school. The school will have the tools we'll need to fix the weapons up."

Locke had a look of apprehension on his face. "Dude, what if our parents find out? Or what if... what if something happens while we're there?"

Lincoln laughed. "Nothing's gonna happen! The werewolves are after my dad, not us. They won't even know what's coming!"

Locke relaxed a bit, but Lily's stomach suddenly felt unsettled. She pushed it off as being nervous about being a bad girl for once and the three of them marched out of the room, prepared to execute stage 1 of their plan.

The three kids approached their parents, who were all gathered downstairs at the kitchen table minus Link. Lily eyed the big book that was resting on the table in front of Rhett, and he leaned over it while giving her a funny look. Lily could only smile, wondering why he was being so secretive about the book. Locke walked up to his mother and he wore the best puppy dog face that he could muster, making his hazel eyes wide and his bottom lip pucker. She eyed him with suspicion before turning to Lincoln and Lily.

     "Alright, what do y'all want?"

Christy laughed, and Rhett followed suit. They had to admit that it was funny when they put on a show for something that they wanted. The three of them glanced at each other with excitement in their eyes.

"We were wondering if we could go for a bike ride before dinner. We just want to ride to the park and back," Locke said, trying to sound reassuring.

Jessie looked to Christy, who simply shrugged. "Sure, you can go."

The three of them jumped up and down with excitement and they started barreling toward the door. "Ah, ah, ah," Jessie said, and the three of them wheeled to a stop, slowly turning to face her. "You can go as long as you take your brothers."

"What?" Locke protested, dropping his shoulders. Lily's eyes widened and she looked about nervously.

Lincoln groaned. "They're just gonna slow us down," he whined.
