Rhett's heart stuttered in his chest as he frantically took Link's face into his hands, looking for any possible sign of life. Baker looked to Paul and

Paul looked to Baker, and they both wore the same expression. It didn't work. It was next to impossible for a human to survive that amount of electricity.

Christy pushed herself away from Baker, and he reached out for her again, to which she hauled off and slapped him across the face. He stumbled backward, his eyes widened with alarm. Her lips trembled as she ran to Link's side, pulling his limp body into a hug as she sobbed into his shoulder.

Link's hand slipped from Rhett's and Rhett sat back on to the floor, his back hitting the wall. He blinked and a tear trailed down his cheek, his eyes watering as the floodgates opened. He slowly reached for his phone in his pocket, taking it into his hands as he stared at the blank screen. He finally gained the gumption to pull up his texts and he sent a group message to all of the crew, including Jessie.

Guys... Link didn't make it. :'(

He stared off into space and let the tears fall as he felt his heart shatter for the last time, letting his body succumb to the numbness.

Link found himself in a sparsely wooded area, and he looked below him, noticing a creek flowing. In the far distance, he saw a boy sitting on a rock with his feet dangling over the edge, his shoes nearly touching the water but not quite. He was wearing a blue and white striped polo and tan cargo pants, his dark brown hair swept to the side. His chocolate colored eyes scanned the creek below him, a smile on his freckled face.

Link tilted his head to the side as the boy rose to his feet, his balance slightly thrown off by the uneven surface of the rock. In the creek were several large jagged rocks that could rip through a human's flesh easily if they weren't careful, and Link scrambled to his feet, running toward the boy.

"Hold on!" He shouted, throwing his hand out in front of him. The boy looked in his direction, his balance perfectly still. Link stopped in front of him, his shoes muddy from the wet soil.

The boy smirked, Link shuddering from a sudden chill that had crept down his spine. He couldn't help but feel the creep factor when looking into this kid's eyes.

"You weren't seriously going to try and save me, were you?"

Link was taken aback, an eyebrow arched.

"Well I wasn't going to let you fall onto that rock and impale yourself," he said, gesturing below them.

The boy laughed, and it seemed to echo through the still air. "Where were you two minutes ago?"

Link slowly turned his head to look behind him, and his heart dropped into his stomach. Wedged between a rock on an embankment where the water met the land was a girl.

Link made his way down toward the water, sliding down the earth and quickening his pace as he found flat land. He lowered himself to the ground to look in the girl's face, his eyes watering as he did so. He took her up into his arms, her head lolling to the side. Her throat had been slashed out, the smell of blood permeating the air around him. He brushed her hair away from her face, his heart stuttering in his chest as he did so. They couldn't save Tessa, and now they couldn't save Terra.

It was too late. His nostrils flared as he gently set her down, and then he flew up to his feet, pointing an accusatory finger at the boy.

"You killed Terra!" He spat, and he watched as the boy skipped off of the rock and landed on his feet as graceful as a cat, and he approached link slowly. As he moved toward Link, his eyes shifted from dark brown to grey. His face sprouted grey hairs, covering his entire body like a cascading wave in the ocean. His face morphed and he grew a long snout, his teeth dripping with saliva as they grew into dangerous, enormous fangs. He grew several inches taller, towering over Link easily. Link took a step backward, falling onto his backside when he'd tripped on a twig. He quickly scrambled to his feet with a scream, tearing through the wooded area.

He heard the padding of the wolf's footsteps behind him. Link ducked behind the nearest tree, pressing his back up against it and making himself as small as possible. He held in his breath to keep himself from being heard.

Birds chirped. Water flowing through the creek hitting the rocks and other debris sounded through the air. Not a single footstep could be heard. Link even heard his own heart beating in his chest with how quiet it was. Link slowly peered around the tree, and to his relief, he saw nothing. The wolf had stopped chasing him. He let out a sigh of relief, turning to face the front to begin heading home.

He had to tell Rhett that he saw the wolf again. They were now obligated to say something. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and texted while he walked, running right into something. His phone slid from his hand and landed in the mud with a splat. He looked up slowly, a snarl ripping through the air. Link's eyes widened. The three headed wolf brought its paw back to slash at his throat.

Link's eyes opened wide and he gasped, causing several cries of alarm to emanate from everyone in the room. Rhett flew to his feet with his eyes wide as he lurched toward the bed, leaning over Link.

Link was breathing heavily, his eyes wide also. He turned his head to look up at Rhett, whose face had been soaked with tears. "I know what's making the Alpha stronger," he breathed.

The room suddenly went silent as everyone gaped at him with their mouths hanging open.
