Link's eyes slowly came open, his body facing the alarm. The red numbers etched into the digital screen read five past midnight, and he felt a growl ripple through his stomach. He carefully threw the covers off of him as to not wake up Christy and he sat up in bed, giving off a big stretch. He felt his muscles give thanks as they were scrunched from being curled up in a ball.

He remembered vividly having the conversation with Rhett and their wives about their recent happenings with werewolves, and then him getting sick all over the floor. He also remembered being told that he had a fever of 104 and they needed to keep an eye on him.

Link turned his head from side to side as he scanned the room, before looking down at his hands. He couldn't believe how perfectly fine he had felt. The headache was gone, his stomach didn't hurt, the chills had dissipated and he didn't feel like his body was being mauled by a starving bear.

Speaking of starving, another growl rumbled in his stomach and he laughed. He'd barely eaten anything before being prescribed to bed, and he figured it wouldn't hurt to get out of bed to have a midnight snack. He had the perfect snack in mind. A nice big bowl of frosted mini wheats.

He allowed his bare feet to meet the carpeted floor and he tiptoed toward the door, reaching for his bathrobe hanging off of the hook. He shrugged into it and pulled it tight around him, quietly opening the door and sneaking out of the room. The entire house was cast in darkness, but for some reason he didn't feel intimidated. He traveled through the hall with ease, passing by Locke's bedroom where all of the boys were camped out.

He then passed Rhett and Jessie's room, and then the second guest room where Lily was sleeping. He stopped just before he began his descent down the stairs, noticing a tall shadow at the bottom of the stairs. Pausing, he swallowed nervously, feeling his heart jump in his chest.

The light suddenly flickered on in the hall and Rhett was standing at the bottom of the stairs with a grin plastered to his face. "I know what you're after man," he said with amusement in his tone. Link made a face like he was on the brink of laughter but was also perplexed at the same time. How could Rhett know what he was doing up past midnight?

"Okay, then tell me," Link challenged, folding his arms across his chest and mirroring Rhett's grin.

"You want a big heaping bowl of frosted mini wheats," he answered simply with a roll of his eyes as if it was blatantly obvious. Link chuckled before skipping down the stairs, standing directly in front of Rhett. Rhett suddenly grinned even wider and he snaked his arm around Link's shoulder, and began leading him toward the kitchen. "Listen, you're not gonna believe this but when we got home last night, all we had were frosted mini wheats in the cupboards. In fact, it's everywhere."

Link narrowed his eyes and he tried to look up at Rhett to see what his facial expression was like. He had to be pulling Link's chain, but he couldn't tell as he was essentially dragged into the kitchen. Rhett dropped his arm from Link's shoulders and eyed the pantry and then Link, and Link slowly took a step toward the pantry, opening the door.

His jaw dropped as his eyes fell on nothing but boxes of frosted mini wheats. On every shelf and stacked behind each other three boxes at a time was his all time favorite cereal. It was like he was in a grocery store specifically designated to frosted mini wheats, and he found himself jumping up and down like an excited kid in the candy store.

He looked at Rhett, who held his finger up. "But wait, there's more." He turned on his heel and opened the cupboards where the dining ware should have been, and there were more boxes of frosted mini wheats. He gave Link a look before also opening the refrigerator and freezer, to shockingly find more boxes of frosted mini wheats. He then drew the cabinets of the island open, revealing even more boxes of frosted mini wheats. It was like a frosted mini wheats oasis.

Link shook his head a little bit, scratching his chest. "Man, this is a bit odd."

Rhett stopped suddenly, giving Link a look."What are you talking about? Do you know whose house you're at?" Link furrowed his eyebrows, and he gave the place another once over. A gasp then emanated from the depths of his throat when he realized he was in his house! Everything was normal, as if the werewolf attacks never happened! What was really going on here? Link suddenly swiveled on his heel and reached for a box of cereal from the pantry and like clockwork, everything started rumbling like an earthquake and he felt himself losing balance. Rhett dove for him but Link had already fallen, and everything went black.
