"Are you guys looking at a bestiary?" Rhett appeared in the kitchen and Link immediately lowered his head, taking his coffee mug back into his hand.

Jessie narrowed her eyes. "Babe, I'm really not into that sort of thing," she said slowly, and Rhett started laughing. He laughed so hard that he had to wipe a tear from his eye.

He moved to the counter and grabbed his own mug. "Honey, that's not what that means. A bestiary is a book of mythical creatures. If we want to find out what Link is, our best bet is to get our hands on one of those. The internet is just far too vague for this sort of situation."

"And where would we find one of those? Would the library have something like that considering this isn't a normal everyday thing?"

Rhett nodded his head and sat at the table across from them. "Yes. All it really boils down to is mythical folklore. If you want, you and Christy can take the kids to the library today while we're working. I trust that you and Christy can get your hands on one of those books."

Link raised his eyes, but didn't make eye contact with Rhett.

Jessie sighed. "I suppose we could do that. I'm really jittery for some reason," she said, holding her hand out and they watched as it trembled.

Rhett took her trembling hand into his own, bringing it up to his lips. "It's gonna be okay. We've got this. We're strong," he reassured, and she gave a half hearted smile. Rhett looked to Link, who was still staring into his mug. He pursed his lips, realizing that it could be possible that Link was going to ignore him the whole day for the stunt he pulled last night. He said the wrong thing by implying that he didn't believe him, and he promised him that he would never think that Link was crazy.

That was his own fault, and he'd have to suffer not hearing Link's voice or seeing him smile. Doesn't mean he wasn't going to try, though. That's what best friends were for.

As 7 am rolled around, Christy had awoken and made all of the kids get up. They needed to have some lessons, since they were homeschooled. Jessie suggested that it would be a good idea that they give them their lessons at the library today for a change of scenery, and Christy agreed with a smile. They had breakfast of pancakes, bacon and orange juice before they readied themselves for the day.

Everyone went through the showers, and it was time to begin their day. Hopefully it would turn out to be a somewhat normal day, and nothing freaky would happen. With the way things were going recently, they'd be extremely lucky to not have that happen.

Link waited by the front door for Rhett as he gave Christy and his kids a hug and kiss goodbye. He told them to have a good day, and they wished him a good day also. Rhett led Link outside into the sunlight, and they hopped into Rhett's car and began heading toward the studio. Link took to staring out the window at the passing scenery, Rhett feeling jittery also. It wasn't like Link to keep quiet, and he had to think of something quick to break the ice. The silence was overwhelming him, making him feel like he was suffocating.

"Link," he said, then sighed. "I'm sorry that I was such a huge jerk last night. You have no idea what I had to go through watching you die like that, and I couldn't help but feel angry toward the person that caused it whether she was in control or not." He didn't even want to mention her name, for the mention of it could make his temper flare up again. When Link didn't respond, he felt his heart drop into his stomach. Link resolved to keep quiet, because he couldn't express how much it hurt to have Rhett say that his premonition couldn't be true. After everything they had been through the past few days, how could he not believe him? It weighed too much on his chest.

Rhett licked his lips, deciding he was going to keep quiet the rest of the ride. He figured there was nothing else that he could say that would convince Link that he was sorry.

He had to earn it, and he understood that. Rhett realized that they couldn't film the show if Link didn't want to talk to him, so he wondered how they were going to work that out. He shrugged it off as they pulled up into the parking lot. He turned the car off and glanced at Link quickly before taking his seatbelt off, stepping out.

Link followed suit, following him into the studio several paces behind Rhett. He kept his hands tucked into the front pockets of his jeans with his head lowered, his mind racing with thoughts. How was he going to film the show if he didn't even want to talk to Rhett?

Jessie and Christy piled the kids into the car and they headed toward the local library. It took the two young ones forever to get ready because they were too engrossed with watching Spongebob on the iPad. Jessie drove, and she toyed with the idea in her mind of telling Christy what the original plan was but decided against it. She'd wait until they made it to the library and they had the kids doing some work, and then she'd pull her out of earshot to tell her.
