Lily pressed her back against the door, watching as the man approached her with his hands locked behind his back. Her mind began to race with thoughts. Was he going to try and kill her again, without her father here to protect her this time? How did he even know that they were at the school? Did he just hang out at the school on a regular basis? Lily suddenly gasped when she finally understood. Her hands went up to her mouth and she dropped to the floor, her eyes wide with shock. A wicked grin plastered across his face.

"You felt it, didn't you?" He questioned, stopping just several feet away from her. "You felt my presence when you were in your bedroom. You felt my presence when you walked into the school. You can sense things, Lily. Just like your father," he stooped to the ground as he spoke, kneeling in front of her. Lily's chest was rising and falling as the panic seized her up. Her lungs were burning like they were on fire, her rapid beating heart only fueling the flame. Every time she tried to breathe, her body trembled.

"You just knew, didn't you sweetheart? But you didn't want to say anything to look like a freak in front of your brothers and friend, right?"

Lily's bottom lip puckered in fear as her jaw quaked, and she simply nodded her head.

"You know," he said, taking his hand and inching it across the floor closer to her. "I was trying to be hospitable toward Link by getting him to become one of us. Yes, it's true that I can control my betas. And it's true that I controlled Terra each time she tried to kill him."

Lily's eyes widened and she whimpered.

"But you know what, if she can't successfully kill him like the worthless piece of waste of space that she is... I'll have to go ahead and do it myself."

Lily shook her head adamantly, cries emanating from her lips. "I'm... I'm not going to let you kill my dad," Lily stammered.

Ponytail took a deep breath with his head tilted to the side. "Sure, and how do you suppose you're going to stop me? Are you going to scream me to death?" He had a bored expression on his face as he rolled his eyes. "As far as I'm concerned, you and your father are a liability that needs to be cleared off the slate. I can't have you two screeching every time I'm about to do something. I will dominate the world of supernaturals," he spoke through his teeth as he seized her by the ankle and pulled her toward him.

She cried out, her back hitting the ground. Or her backpack rather, which had the beakers of glow in the dark paint. Lily's arm was already twisted behind her, and she slowly started unzipping the backpack as she stared up at him with frightened eyes.

"My dad will stop you," Lily warned as she grazed a beaker with her fingertips. "He has Rhett, and together they're unstoppable."

Ponytail started laughing. It wasn't a joyful laugh, more like a laugh of mockery. "Seriously child? What fantasy world do you live in? The only thing your father is capable of doing is screaming like a girl, and Rhett? Rhett is a puny human,"

"He's 6 foot 7. He's not puny," Lily said with venom in her tone, narrowing her eyes.

Ponytail snatched her by the face, squeezing her cheeks together. "I wouldn't let my daughter speak to me like that, and I sure as hell won't let you," he spat, and she watched as his eyes shifted to a grey color. Fans protruded from his upper and lower lips, and she could feel as the claws slowly began to extend and poke into the flesh of her face. Her hand finally grasped a beaker and she eyed the man with as much confidence as she could muster.

"Good thing I'm not your daughter then," she said, whipping the beaker out of her backpack and swinging her arm around. The glass collided with the side of his face and it shattered everywhere. He cried out, falling backward onto his rear, holding his head in his hands as the paint made the left side of his face sizzle and pop. The roars that ripped through him was enough for her to quickly scatter to her feet as she hastily wiped the bits of splattered paint away from her eyes before she wrenched the door open.
