They arrived at Sapphire's apartment shortly thereafter. Ruby laid in her usual spot on the couch, this now becoming her new favorite location, other than Sapphire's room. They cuddled up on the couch, laying on top of each other. Sapphire could hear Ruby's heartbeat. It was slow and steady, and she loved listening to it. She nuzzled her chest a little bit, causing Ruby to blush deeply and stare at her in chastisement.
"Sapphy, that's not a good thing to do. You might give me...ideas."
Sapphire snickered, going to Ruby's ear and being a jerk. She spoke.
"Maybe that what I want to do: give you ideas~"
Ruby felt her breath hitch, finding herself confused and slightly aroused.
They both just laughed it off and didn't attempt anything.
The girls headed off to bed, ready to sleep the moment they hit the mattress. Ruby respectfully changed in the bathroom into some of the clothes she had at Sapphires place for some reason, and Sapphire changed in her own room. They met back up in bed and snuggled up together. Sapphire hummed softly to lull Ruby to sleep, and it worked. Then Sapphire fell asleep.

She had an awful, awful dream.

It's dark, no. It's bright. It's cold but warm at the same time. She's laying next to you, but you can't feel her. She's gone. Where did she go? She's dead. Someone hurt her. No, she's alive. I'm looking for her, but she isn't here. There she is. She's...she's with another girl. She's kissing her. Now they're hugging. Now they're..they're.. oh stars. What are they doing? Are they..? They are. My heart drops. Ruby! Ruby! Why are you doing this? Don't you love me? You don't. You never did, yet you do. You love me? Why would you ever do that? Why would anyone ever do that? No one does. Not even you. You...don't. You don't love me, she doesn't love me, but I love you, Ruby..

Sapphire woke up in a cold sweat, looking around for Ruby. There she was, laying left to her and staring at her, concerned. Sapphire quickly got on top of Ruby, sitting on her lap.
"Sapphire, is everything okay?" Ruby asked.
"Yeah, I just need to do this."
"Do wha-"
Sapphire had interrupted her with a strong and fiery kiss. This was the same as the ones where she was under Ruby, but she felt much more in control. Sapphire felt as if Ruby could only ever look at her, could only ever love her. She had intense emotion locked up in a jar inside of her, and it felt as if it had shattered into a million pieces. She was on overload, and she was letting all of it out on Ruby.
She kissed and bit and sucked on the skin all over Ruby's neck, reducing her love into a moaning and gasping mess. Ruby felt amazing, and she didn't want it to stop.

This went on for about half an hour, then Ruby separated herself from Sapphire, siting up and pinning Sapphire against the headboard of her bed. Sapphire quickly flipped Ruby over, now pinning her onto the headboard instead.

"Uh-uh, Ru." Sapphire began. "Not tonight."
