Warning: Lots of cursing.
Sapphire was about to fall asleep again but was awoken by a chime from her phone; it was a text from Lapis.
L: Hey sis! Just wanted to let you know that Jasper and I got back together. I left the motel with her a few hours after you fell asleep so yeah, I'll meet up with you again in the future. Byeeee <3
Sapphire chuckled, knowing it wouldn't end well, but at least having the good news that she would still keep in touch with one of her family members. She liked Lapis the most out of everyone, and that was because, despite being a pain in the ass, she made Sapphire laugh from time to time. She looked forward to hanging out again soon.

After a small nap, both Ruby and Sapphire woke up, hungry and full of energy. They got out of bed, got dressed, and headed out to a diner for burgers. While there, Ruby noticed a guy who kept staring at Sapphire. Ruby was used to people staring at Sapphire, after all she was extremely gorgeous, but this guy was looking at her in a way that made Ruby uncomfortable. It was like he was undressing her in his eyes, and that only enraged the taller girl. But, keeping her cool, she ignored him and went on with eating and talking to Sapphire about where they would go tomorrow to continue their little road trip.
Ruby had to go to the bathrooms, and she excused herself, forgetting for a moment about the douche who was creeping on Sapphire. By the time she remembered, she was washing her hands. She rushed, turned off the faucet, and almost ran out to see the guy sitting in the chair in front of Sapphire, and Sapphire looked pissed.
Ruby calmly walked towards them, trying to avoid making a scene. She could hear Sapphire having a conversation with the guy, but it was in another language she didn't understand, but she knew it sounded European. Then she got it: Sapphire was speaking in French. She finally arrived to the table, the shorter girl whisper-yelling at the man while he sat quietly, looking almost impressed and confused at the same time. Ruby didn't know what she was saying, but she could tell when someone was getting cursed out.
Sapphire finished, sighing. The man looked up at Ruby, who he didn't even see because he was too caught up with Sapphire's curses, and then he looked back at Sapphire.
"Look, little lady, I only know a few words in Italian, and I have no idea what you said. I just wanted to ask you out to dinner, maybe even come over to my place. How's about it?" He hollered at her, his voice sounding like he smoked a pack of cigarettes a day. The man looked like he could be at least thirty.
Ruby spoke immediately after the man finished, her pitch was extremely high and nervous.
"She's dating someone."
He spoke again.
"Well then let me meet the lucky fella and I can show him who his girl should really be with."
Ruby was about to lose it at this point.
"I'm not with a guy." Sapphire said, noticing that Ruby was close to exploding from anger.
"Then who are you with th-" He stopped himself, realizing that Sapphire wasn't straight. "Ohhh, you're with a girl, huh?"
Sapphire interrupted him.
"No shit, Sherlock."
He went on, ignoring her.
"I'll show her who you should be with. You need a man, Miss, uh, what's your name?"
"My name is I Don't Give A Fuck so you better leave right now before I rip your tongue off and shove it so far up your ass that you taste the meal you just ate." Sapphire muttered in her regular, monotonous tone at him, and he just scoffed. Ruby wanted to kick his ass so bad, but she had to keep her cool. She needed this.
The man continued to speak.
"Feisty. I like it. Missy, you're missing out on a lot of fun. Come over to my place so I can show you the best time of your little life, and bring your girlfriend, too. We can all get along, baby."
"She is not your baby." Ruby angrily whispered, ready to go off on this jerk.
"Oh, let me guess, she's yours?"
"Sapphire isn't my property, she is my fiancé, so don't call her mine as if she's some object. Now get the fuck out of my seat and get the hell out of here or else I'll kick your ass."
The man got up, then he swung at Ruby. She almost instantaneously caught his fist and squeezed hard, cracking sounds coming from his knuckles, but they weren't normal cracking sounds that hands usually make, no. That was the sound of every bone in the front of his left hand being broken and crushed by a twenty-two-year-old girl. He let out a loud yelp, and Sapphire couldn't help but chuckle.
"By the way, asshole, that wasn't Italian, it was French." Sapphire added.
He left after that, and the two finished their meal in peace. They continued planning on where to go, meanwhile the waitress at the front desk stood stiff, shocked that she had just seen her husband flirt with another woman and then get his entire hand crushed.Needless to say, she was getting a divorce.
