Sapphire got up and went to go check it out, Ruby following her afterwards. They heard a small twig snap and heading towards the sound.
"Who's there?" Sapphire yelled.
A smooth voice came from the distance.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to intrude. I just walked in at the wrong time."
A tall woman with long, curly locks of pink hair and a white dress that went to her knees walked over to them, blushing in embarrassment.
"I just like coming here at night, and I wasn't expecting anyone else to be around, so when I saw you I couldn't help but hide."
They stared at the lady, shocked at how tall she was compared to themselves.
"It's fine." Ruby mumbled. "So, what's your name?"
She looked to be around in her late twenties.
"Rose, and you two lovebirds?"
They blushed and chuckled a bit.
"I'm Ruby."
"Sapphire. Pleasure to meet you."
Both were enthusiastic in their tones.

They spent hours talking to their new friend,
learning what she liked and her dreams in life. It was nice to meet someone new.
By the time the dawn started to rise they bid farewell and kept in touch via cellular devices, not knowing that she would later on become one of the biggest aspects of their lives, even bringing in more important people for them to meet and love like family.
The two girls went back to the car, driving to a motel and sleeping, exhausted from the hiking. Ruby curled up behind Sapphire, gripping onto the baby-pink silk of Sapphire's loose nightgown that left very little to the imagination. Meanwhile Sapphire was staring at the engagement ring, admiring the way her hand looked with it on. She turned to look at Ruby, bangs moved from her face and a tiny smile creeping up on her lips. She began to speak.
"What would you think about moving in with me? Would you want to?"
Ruby smiled and nodded.
"There's nothing I'd love more than to wake up next to you every day."
"Then it's settled. When we come back, you're moving in with me."
They both sighed happily, relaxing and trying to go to sleep.
"Oh!" Sapphire interrupted the silence. "There's one more thing I forgot to mention."
"What?" Ruby tiredly lifted her head.

"I love you. Night."
