A/N: it took awhile but I finally wrote the second part to Secrets! The song I linked to this story is the one I used for this story, and it's been my favourite song for the past few days! I will be writing the third part quicker this time!

AND IT FEELS LIKE I ONLY GO BACKWARDS, BABY.
EVERY PART OF ME SAYS GO AHEAD
I GOT MY HOPES UP AGAIN, OH NO, NOT AGAIN
FEELS LIKE WE ONLY GO BACKWARDS, DARLING

"Ugh..." Y/N turned over in her bed and shut off her alarm. The bright light of outside shone through her window and landed on Jugheads face, who was sleeping beside her. His hair was a wild mess on the pillow and he looked peaceful, which was a rare sight to see. She slowly sat up, as to not disturb the sleeping raven haired boy next to her. She looked on the floor beside her bed, and there lay Archie on an air mattress, and he looked peaceful as well.
"My two boys." she whispered to herself, a smile placing itself upon her face. She was slightly surprised that her alarm hadn't woken up the two sleeping beauties that had made themselves at home in her room, but she was glad it didn't. She sat there for a second longer, enjoying the sight of the two of them looking peaceful and content. The past week had been a hard one on the three of them, with all of the sleuthing and trying to put together the puzzle pieces of Jason's murder they had hardly caught a break.
Last night was the exception of course, Jughead had insisted that they took a break.
                                 • • •
"You need to take a break Y/N, you've worked yourself half to death all this week, literally." Jughead said, pulling the files that Y/N had made on the Blossom parents out from under her grasp.
"I can't take a break! Jason is dead and it's my job to figure out what happened to him!" she yelled, standing up to try to retrieve the files back from Jughead. He passed them to Archie who stood behind him, and Y/N went to bolt towards him. Jughead caught her in his arms, and she struggled against his hold.
"Woah there! First off, It's not your job, it's the polices job. And second, you really need to chill." Jughead said, trying to calm the girl trapped in his arms.
"One night Y/N, just take one night off, that's all we ask." Archie said, taking the files and shoving them in his guitar case and then placing his guitar over it. Y/N relaxed in Jugheads arms, placing her face in his chest and he kissed the top of her head.
"I'm so stressed." she whispered quietly.
"We know." Jughead and Archie said at the same time.
     "And sad." she whimpered.
     "We know."
"We'll figure this out soon, I promise." Archie said, rubbing Y/Ns back slowly and softly. She broke free from Jughead and gave Archie a hug as well. Jughead walked over to the mini fridge Y/N had in her room and pulled out a bottle of wine he had taken from his dads house, and then he pulled out 3 red solo cups from his bag.
"Drinks anyone?" he asked, and Y/N and Archie looked over to him.
"I don't know Jug-" Archie started but Y/N walked over to Jughead and nodded her head.
"Yes please." she said, and Jughead poured her a glass. She took the red liquid in her cup and put it up to her lips, taking a sip and sighed. Jughead poured himself a glass, and then one for Archie, who reluctantly took it. Archie stared down at the red liquid in his cup and debated whether he should drink it or not.
"You can have a full on sexual relationship with a teacher but you can't have one glass of wine? Which one do you think would get you in more trouble?" Jughead teased, and Archie rolled his eyes. "You're acting like you've never drank before."
"I have, my dad and I occasionally have a beer or a glass of whiskey together, it's just weird not drinking with him." he said, and Y/N chuckled, taking a long drink of her wine.
"I'm sorry we aren't your father." she joked.
"No, you guys are better." Archie said, taking a drink of his wine and smiling. Jughead and Y/N smiled up at Archie who took a seat on the bed beside the two of them. Y/N jumped up and walked to her stereo, turning it on. 'Feels like we only go backwards' started playing, and Y/N started dancing. Jughead and Archie laughed up at her as she swayed her hips and started singing along.
"I know that you think you sound silly when you call my name. But I hear it inside my head all day. Then I realize I'm just holding onto the hope that maybe your feelings don't show!" she danced around, pointing to Jughead who chuckled and rolled his eyes.
"It feels like I only go backwards baby!" Jughead stood up, singing along with Y/N. Archie stood up as well, deciding to join his friends in their concert.
"Every part of me says go ahead! I got my hopes up again, oh no, not again!" Archie belted out along with Y/N and Jughead. The three of them danced, sang, and drank around the room. For the first time that week, the three of them were actually happy.
                                • • •
Y/N smiled as she recalled the night before, glancing around the room to find the empty wine bottle and the three solo cups scattered around the room. Her phone went off, a text message notification appearing on the screen, drawing her from her memories. She picked it up, and slowly her smile turned into a frown.
Quietly and slowly getting up from her bed, she stepped around Archie and made her way to her closet. Pulling on some ripped jeans, a black cami, and a flannel that Jughead had left over at her house weeks before, she made her way to Archie's guitar case and pulled the files she had collected from it. She then went to her desk and pulled a piece of paper out of her binder and scrawled out a quick note in permanent marker for the boys for when they would wake up.
She tip toed out of the room, and started the coffee machine for the boys and made her way out of the apartment. She stuck the files under her camisole on her back and pulled the flannel around her tight as she made her way down to the school, the cold morning air biting harshly at her skin. When she arrived, she looked around to make sure the coast was clear before she took a bobby pin out of her hair from the night before and picked the lock to the schools front door.
"Bingo." she whispered to herself as she heard the door click. She pulled open the door and hurried inside before anyone could see her, and stopped once she was hidden. She pulled out her phone to see if she had any texts, but saw nothing. She turned on the flashlight and walked around her school, making her way to the student lounge, walking slow and carefully.
Sure, Jughead was going to be pissed if he found out she left to meet another person on her own, and Archie wouldn't be all that thrilled with her either, but she felt bad dragging them along to all these places with nothing to show for it. She had been stood up three times that week, lured with the promise of information on her dead best friend and left with nothing but broken hope and tears threatening to spill from her eyes. But every time she got a text or a message of any kind, she made sure to go on the off chance she wouldn't be stood up.
This was one of those times, and as she made her way to the student lounge her stomach churned in anticipation. She noticed the light for the lounge was on, which meant that someone was obviously in there. She crouched down and made her way to the door, slowly peeking through the window. She saw nothing out of the ordinary, it looked just as it would on a school day, but empty. She stood up a little more, trying to turn so she could see more into the room but the door swung open quickly, hitting Y/N in the head with the door handle.
She fell backwards, feeling blood trickle down her temple and she knocked her head on the ground.
"Oh fuck." she hissed, bringing her hand up to her head. She looked above her, and a large figure in black stood above her and she scrambled backwards, finding her way to her feet and she ran. Her head was spinning and pounding, and her vision went blurry, but she continued to run. She quickly pulled her phone out of her pocket and dialed for Jughead.

      RING RING RING
     RING RING RING
     "Ugh..." Jughead groaned.
"Answer the damn phone." Archie grumbled, sitting up and rubbing his eyes.
"Fine." Jughead said, picking up his phone and looking to see who it was. "It's Y/N?" he questioned, turning around to look at the other side of the bed.
"What? Where is she? Answer it!" Archie exclaimed. "Put it on speaker." Jughead slid the screen to answer it, and pressed the speaker button.
"Y/N? Where are you?" Jughead asked.
"Oh god...Jughead!" Jughead and Archie sprung up from their beds and listened in on the call.
"Are you okay?!" Jughead yelled. "Where the hell are you?" Archie and Jughead noticed that it sounded like she was running, and then they heard a crash that sounded like she tripped.
"If you fucking touch me again, I'll kill you! This is a school! They'll find you!" They heard her yell. They heard a large crack and her cry out in pain and then the phone went silent.
"What the fuck just happened?" Archie yelled, running over to her desk. He found a note written on a piece of paper and picked it up.
"Got a text this morning about a new lead, didn't want to wake you two, you looked peaceful. I'll be home soon, meeting someone at school." Archie read, and Jughead grabbed his bag.
"Damn-It Y/N! Why did she fucking do this again!" he yelled, storming out of the room. Archie followed, grabbing his keys and heading outside to his car. Jughead made his way into the passenger seat, and Archie got in the car, stepping on the gas and speeding towards the school.
