Today was the day! Y/N was so excited to finally move away from her crappy town with her mom, and they were going to a place nearby, a town by the name of Riverdale. Usually somebody of her age would be scared to move to another town, away from their friends and family, but Y/N knew she wasn't going to be alone down there. Y/N had been writing a pen pal she had met over an unsolved murder forum a few months ago, right after she read something about the Jason Blossom case. A user by the name of _sardonicbeanie_ was commenting on the Jason Blossom case almost daily, and the details he put up intrigued Y/N.
After a few days of stalking the forum, she decided to reach out to the user, and from then they started to email daily. The user she had been talking to told her his name was Jughead Jones the Third, and that he and Jason knew eachother, but wouldn't be considered friends, just peers. He also told her he was writing a novel about the whole case, and that he searched the forum daily to see if any anonymous tips would be posted, which they almost never were.
Jughead was a loner type boy, often bullied at school because he didn't talk much nor did he fit in with a lot of the kids he attended school with, but it never really seemed to bother him that much. He had a group of friends, and thats all he needed, a few people to call close. Y/N and Jughead seemed to fall for eachothers personalities straight away, and although people would call it 'unsafe' or 'impossible', she felt that she started to love the boy whom she had been in contact with right after he sent his first reply.
Now finally, after Y/Ns mom had decided she couldn't deal with their current home life anymore, she decided to move, and Y/N suggested the small town of Riverdale, a quiet place for the two of them to start over. Her mom was unsure at first, but Y/N convinced her somehow, and now they were on their way. Their little belongings were packed, and they started the long road ahead.
After what felt like forever, they finally passed the 'Welcome to Riverdale' sign, and Y/N felt her heart skip a beat. She pulled out her phone quickly and opened her mail app, sending a quick email to her friend.
