CHAPTER 33: Little Help

"The objective of this mission is to rescue my mate, Jaquelyn and that's what we're going to do. Base on what Daniel told me, the trackers lost the scent of Jaquelyn around this area of the woods..." tinuro ko sa mapa ang tinutukoy kong lugar "...so there's a high chance that we can ambush them around here. They will not expect us to be ready because they don't know that we know about their attack at midnight" I looked around me and met their eyes "One group will attack them and distract them while the other group that is with me will go and find my mate"

Nakita ko naman tinaas ni Heaven ang kamay niya. Masyado siyang active para sa isang outsider but I can't deny she's a talented hunter. Tumango naman ako sa kanya para magtanong.

"Well anong gagawin natin sa beasts? We all know they are a big problem to us. Even if we team up to defeat them we don't know how many beast they have" she asked while playing with the magical dagger "and we don't know if this dagger will have an effect at them"

"That's true but I fought two beast a while ago and from what I can tell, they are not yet trained" kumunot naman ang noo ni Heaven dahil sa sinabi ko at nakuha ko naman ang atensyon ng lahat "Irish, the only beast that my pack members killed used her ability way too much and because of that Derek and my pack members saw an opening and used this to decapitate her because unfortunately stabbing at her heart don't have an effect at all" I sigh at the last part of my explanation. Sakit sa ulo itong mga beasts na ginawa ni Edward.

Nakita ko naman ngumiti ng patago si Dad pero walang sinabi. Hindi ko na lang ito pinansin at nagpatuloy sa pagpapaliwanag ng gagawing pag-atake. Ako na rin ang pumili kung sino sa mga fighters ang nasa front lines, sino ang mananatili sa school at sino ang sasama sa akin.

"Hatake right?" nilingon ko ang lalakeng hunter. Tumango naman siya sa akin at hinintay ang sasabihin ko "You're the infamous silent hunter, right?" sa sinabi kong ito napatingin ang lahat kay Hatake pero ngumiti lang siya sa sinabi ko "I want you to be with my team along with four other fighters that I will choose, okay?"

"Hmmm..." hindi siya agad sumagot kaya kumunot ang noo ko "...you also want me to carry the dagger, tama?"

"Yes," and showed him my wolf's eye for him to know that's what I want "I know he will follow me. He wants to kill me because I destroyed him years ago and I want to kill him for destroying my mate's life" I growled.

"Luci, are you sure you will not lose control?" tanong ni Alpha Carlo at rinig ko sa boses niya ang pagdadalawang isip sa gagawin ko.

"Alam mong hindi namin ibibigay ang dagger sayo kapag nag-wala ka," pagpapaalala ni Heaven at ikinainis ng wolf ko. I close my eyes trying to stop my irritation.

'I want to smack that woman!' my wolf snarled but I just shut him up. I want to smack her too but I can't lose control. I must only focus my anger on that vile creature. Nothing else.

Nang kumalma na ako tinignan ko si Alpha Carlo sa mga mata "I made a promise to her that she will lose nothing tonight and I plan to honor that promise, Alpha Carlo" I said with full determination.

Napatingin ang lahat sa sinabi ko at para bang tinubuan ako ng isa pang ulo sa tingin na binibigay nila. I felt my Dad's hands on my shoulder. He was grinning like a mad dog.

"A Barbaso never lies," I saw the pride in his eyes "Hatake please assist my stupid son on his mission to rescue his mate" and with that I rolled my eyes. Hindi talaga nagbabago si Dad. Binigay naman ni Heaven ang dagger kay Hatake at after the meeting naghanda na kami.
