"We are two broken people.
We both build walls, the strongest and
highest walls around our hearts because
we are afraid;

We are afraid of falling
We are afraid of attachments
We are afraid of taking risks
We are afraid of rejection

But

I am more than willing...
willing to take down my walls for you
willing to take the risk
willing to surrender my heart to you

But

you still left."

"I brought breakfast." Bea raised the paper bags and dropped them on Jhoana's desk. She pulled a chair from an employee's cubicle and squeezed into Jho's space.

"Are you kidding me?" Jho looked at Bea disapprovingly.

"Nope. We're eating breakfast here in your tiny space," Bea replied while taking out the food she cooked.

"Para saan to, Beatriz?"

Bea turned her head to meet Jhoana's questioning eyes. "Peace offering. Galit ka sa akin eh."

Last night, Bea wasn't able to get enough sleep because of what happened because Jho was not the type to back out to any challenge.

"Ano naman sayo kung galit ako?"

"It means everything," Bea casually answered. She handed Jho a pack of Zest-O and a lunch box. "Eat. Sabi ni Deanna you're not eating well these past months kaya pala ang payat mo."

Jho rolled her eyes. She hates to admit it to herself but only Bea can persuade her to do things that she didn't want to. For some reason, Bea can break her walls and she's left vulnerable under her command.

"I'm still mad at you so don't order me around. I don't like your voice, I don't like your face, I don't like your hands," she opened the lunch box and took the utensils. "I don't like everything about you."

"We'll talk properly after you finish everything I prepared for you. Pwede mo na akong awayin after that."

Jho ate in silence. She didn't want to inflate Bea's ego so she pretended to be unimpressed by her cooking but deep inside, her pallets screamed in satisfaction. Bea's skills improved immensely.

Nostalgic. Her mind whispered.

"Done?" Bea peeked at Jhoana's face. She ignored her the whole time they were eating.

Jho rolled her eyes again and faced her. "Yes po, Madame Beatriz."

She was just restraining herself from lunging at Beatriz and strangle her. She was so pissed at her for rejecting her drafts like it was trash. Yes, she disliked architecture but it does not mean she is not good at what she's doing.

How dare you, Bea.

Bea stood up and held her wrist. She was dragged inside the storage room without any access to the way out because Bea was blocking the door and for sure she wouldn't be able to win the wrestling match with her, so she stood there and stared at Bea blankly.

"Let me speak, okay? I'll do the talking you'll listen and then violent reactions would come after," Bea requested while holding up her index finger.
