"if your sun begins to set
and you lose your way
you will find me
waiting for you
in your dusk
always."--
Bea
These past few weeks, Jhoana has been busy attending workshops and meetings. Since deciding to pursue directing, her schedule became hectic as days passed by. Bea has no complaints whatsoever, but she misses her. She really does, so much that her chest aches at the thought of Jho. They do find time to meet up during her breaks. Sometimes Bea would bring her food, but on most occasions, she only catches a glimpse of her.
She admires her girl. Her passion for the job is unbelievable. But again, she misses her. She just wants to hug her for five hours and nap or maybe hide her away and never return her here. Kidding. I'm not that selfish.
She's on her way to meet Jho in the office. As usual, people greeted her as she stepped inside the building. She hastily climbed inside the elevator, but when it was about to close, a hand stopped it.
"Damn, Bea. Why are you in a hurry?" A panting Thirdy follows her.
She internally rolls her eyes. Not again. "Magkikita pa kami ni Jho eh."
He wipes the beads of sweat on his forehead. "Ah. Don't you always see each other?"
"Recently, no."
"Why?" His voice hints a bit of interest.
"She's quite busy now. We barely see each other especially on weekdays."
"That's unfortunate," he replied plainly.
The elevator chimed and that was Bea's cue to leave. She quickly exited and Thirdy immediately called her.
"Uy, Bea! See you later sa meeting!"
Her brows furrowed. What?! But when she turned to him the elevator had closed and she was left with questions. She brushed it all off so she can spend some quality time with Jho.
She opened the door to Jho's office carefully. The morena was sleeping on the couch, her forearm resting on her head, as she lightly snores. It was evident that she was exhausted because of the dark circles forming under eyes.
Bea walked closer and sat on the chair beside her. She tucked the loose hair covering her face and took the time to examine her girlfriend's features. She's still the same beauty, but just a bit stressed. The crinkles on the corner of her eyes deepened maybe because Jho smiles more often now than all of her life combined, which is good because it means Bea is keeping her happy.
"Miss na kita, hon," Bea whispered while caressing the sleeping girl's cheek.
She smiled lovingly and continued to trace her fingers on Jhoana's face. "Gusto kita laging kasama, but I understand that this is for your career."
"So I'll just wait for you. I'm always here."
She planted a soft kiss on Jho's forehead and left a note on the paper bag she brought that was supposedly their lunch.
