"Jho's moving in with me," she declared as the discussion of business ended.
Her family was taken aback except Loel.
"Wow Bea, I did not expect that," Det replied.
Bea put her utensils down and flashed a reassuring smile. "I know it's a bit much right now because we're still young and it's not really the culture here in the Philippines but I really think this a decision that will help us know each other more."
"Agree," Loel commented.
Bea cannot make out if it was a sarcastic remark because her brother likes to annoy her so she rolled her eyes at him.
"What? I'm helping you out. Gosh," he said while trying to suppress his laugh.
"Going back, I'm telling you this because I want you guys to be the first ones to know. Alam niyo naman yung mga tao sa office–they spread rumors fast."
Elmer sighed and clutched her shoulder. He was looking at her intently but she wasn't intimidated by his eyes unlike before. "We appreciate that you told us first, anak. As for me, I am not opposed to whatever you and Jho decide to do."
His expression soften as he caressed his daughter's cheek. "Kung saan ka masaya, I will support you. I can't lose you again over some choice you want to make."
Det and Loel nodded their heads in agreement.
"Anak, nabigla lang kami dahil alam mo naman na despite us being very open with you about this kind of relationship, it's still new to us," Det explained.
"But in the end, we want you to be happy. You're the baby of this family kahit matanda ka na."
Everyone laughed and Det eventually lightened the mood inside the dining room.
"Jho is very welcome in this family. So go ahead, anak."
She smiled triumphantly. "You guys really love me."

Since it's her free day tomorrow, she wants to cook something fancy for Jho. She was also hoping that she doesn't run into Thirdy again in the office. He's becoming a pain in the ass if she's being honest because she puts Jho in a bad mood whenever the she sees them having a conversation. But the luck was against her because he saw her while she was walking down the hall to Jho's office the following day.
