(A/N: Takes place as if James never saw Teddy and Victoire kissing at the train station.)

Teddy had never been necessarily bad, although he and his friends had gotten a few detentions back at Hogwarts. But now he'd done something that couldn't be taken back. And Harry always said that he'd be there for Teddy, right?

Teddy was pondering this as a small knock was heard from his bedroom door.

"Come in."

Harry stepped into the dark blue room which was only used every other weekend.

"Hi, Teddy. Tomorrow's Valentine's Day, as you know, and Ginny and I were wondering if you'd babysit for a while?"

Teddy looked down. "Oh, sorry, Harry, but I can't tomorrow."

Harry raised an eyebrow.

"A date?"

Teddy nodded.

"Oh, alright then. I'll just ask Victoire if she can."

Teddy shuffled awkwardly. "Um, Victoire can't babysit either..."

Harry straightened and shut the door behind him.

"Are you two together?"

Teddy nodded.

"Well, that's great! What did you do–kiss her?"

He ran a hand through his hair.

"Well, that did happen..."

Harry froze. "You didn't do anything more than that, did you?"

Teddy thought about telling the truth, but held back, and Harry seemed to notice.

"No. That's all."

Harry looked at his godson a moment longer and stepped back towards the door.

"Alright. I trust you."

"Um, sure."

"Bill also trusts you..."

"Thanks, Harry. I know. I wouldn't disrespect Vic ever."

"Alright then."

After Harry left, Teddy thought about his options. Bill always took him for a responsible and honest lad, so the correct thing would be to tell him, right?

Or just pretend it never happened.

But Teddy couldn't bring himself to do that. Deep in his teenage heart, he loved Vic and was  beyond glad they'd done it.

I need to talk to Vic.

Looking at his clock, Teddy realized it was past twilight, but he couldn't wait any longer.

He apparated to Shell Cottage and climbed ever so lightly up the trellis next to Vic's bedroom.

Teddy was surprised to see her writing a letter at this hour, but relieved she wasn't asleep. He didn't want to look like a stalker.

"Vic!" He whispered.

She immediately turned her head and jumped up before letting him in.

"I was just writing to you. But it doesn't matter because you're here now," she said and hurriedly crinkled the ball and hid it behind her back.

His face was concerned.

"Is everything alright? What's on the letter?"

"Oh, it's nothing."

He waited.

"Alright! I was telling you how I haven't been myself since... Anyway, my father seems to know what's up and I don't like it. What do we do?"

"You said you haven't been yourself?"

She nodded.

He glanced down at her stomach. "Do you think you're..."

"Oh god. No, Teddy. I'm just worried that my parents know."

He thought for a moment before he decided, "Let's not say anything, but if they ask, we'll tell the truth."

She nodded in agreement.

"Teddy, there's something else I have to tell you... I love you. More than the stars know."

He kissed her passionately like he did the week before. "I know. I'm in love with you, and I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable, and that we're all doomed, but I'm in love with you."

They kissed until Teddy remembered something. "I told Harry about us. Just that we're together and I kissed you."

"Oh. That's good, I guess. We should probably tell my parents tomorrow when you pick me up."

"Agreed."

"Goodbye, my love."

"I'll see you tomorrow."
