Davina's POV
"Please, I finished the whole series in two days! A week is nothing!" Kian said as we walked down the hallway.
"How did you finish a four book long series in two days?! The last book was over 800 pages and had over 90 chapters!" I exclaimed as we began to walk up the stairs.
He shrugged, "I don't know, I have a lot of spare time."
"I wish I had that kind of time." I mumbled as we got to the second floor and he started leading me towards Miss Logan's room.
I was definitely surprised when I saw Kian sitting next to me in first period. I was surprised to see him at all. Now, I know that we're going to have classes together for the whole year. The thought of seeing his face and talk about books with him every day caused this feeling to erupt in my chest. There was something about him, I couldn't put my finger on it. Maybe it was the way he smiled or how his words sounded like a Beethoven symphony. Or maybe it was his random tattoos or his chocolate brown eyes. Maybe it was everything.
We walked in and sat down in the back. Miss Logan began talking about important moments in this state's history that we'll be going over this year. A lot of the students were either texting away on their phones or just staring off into space. I was focused on the teacher until a note slid onto my desk. I looked over at Kian and he motioned for me to read it.
I unfolded the notebook paper and read the note.
I raised a brow at him, but he just motioned for me to write on the paper. I grabbed my pen and scribbled my response.
I passed the note back to him and he wrote on the note and then passed it back to me. It continued like this for a minute or two.
