"We're mini-golfing?" I questioned as he pulled into the parking lot of a place called Putt-Putt Fun. The name was kind of weird, but the place looked pretty cool from where I sat in Kian's car.

"No, we're at a mini golf place to swim with dolphins." He said sarcastically and I rolled my eyes at him. He smiled, "Come on, let's go."

We got out of the car, still in our formal clothes, and walked up to the building. There was a middle aged man behind the counter who looked insanely bored, even though there were several people here. We got strange looks because of what we were wearing, but for once, I didn't care.

"Are you playing all eighteen holes?" The man asked us in a bored tone.

Kian nodded, "Yes, sir."

The man let out a small sigh before handing us a slip of paper that we would keep score on. Kian paid, even though I insisted that I helped, and then we picked out our golf balls and clubs. We walked to the first hole that was decorated with fairy lights and plastic animals like all the others.

"Just a fair warning," Kian said as he placed his ball on the ground and got in position with his club. "I kick ass at mini-golf."

I smiled and shook my head. "We'll see about that, Lawley."

He sent me a small smile before he hit the ball. It rolled down the green carpet smoothly until it fell into the white hole. He cheered and threw his hands up, "Told ya!" He said to me.

"Whatever, this is the easiest one." I said, staring at his beautiful smile and happy eyes. I scribbled down that he got a hole in one before I took my turn. I hit the ball and it bounced against the brick edges and skipped over the hole. I ignored Kian's arrogant look as I walked over to my ball and hit it in. "Par two isn't that bad."

Thirty minutes later, we finished our game. Kian won since he got mostly hole in ones while I kept getting pars. He made sure to gloat about it and I made sure to glare at him every five minutes.

"Don't look at me like that." He whined as we walked to his car. I ignored him and looked straight ahead, loving the game that I was playing. "Come on, D, smile." He poked my cheek and I fought the smile that was threatening to appear on my face.

I looked down at my shoes as we walked. "Davina, I hate this." Kian whined again and threw his arm around my shoulder. "Please look at me."

I shook my head and he let out a groan before running in front of me, causing me to stop walking. "Now you have to look at me." He said with a confident and proud smile.

To prove him wrong, I turned my head to my left. He groaned and grabbed the side of my face with his hand and turned me back to him. I then turned to my right and he repeated his actions while letting out a slightly exasperated sigh. I laughed lightly and looked up at the sky just to torture him.

He placed both hands on my cheeks and pulled my head back down. Now I was looking at him and it was like I regretted not looking at him before. I could see happiness dance in his eyes and his little grin on his pink lips. His hands were warm, making my heart beat faster with every second that passed.

While I was admiring the beauty that is Kian Lawley, I didn't realize that he had taken a tiny step forward. My breath caught in my throat when I saw that he was only a few inches away from me. I didn't know whether I should stay frozen or take a step forward. The shy part of me wanted to stand still, but this new part of me wanted to take this chance. I'm mainly convinced that this new part was created by Kian somehow.
