Chapter 26

{Gaby's}

Ang lamig naman.

I cuddled myself on one side of the couch and wrapped myself with my blanket. Keeping myself warm was never a problem, I knew exactly what to do to feel warm in this cozy weather. Listening to music usually was the best add-on to this kind of weather, if only I had better tracks on my mixes, this night would be perfect. Sayang...

This was definitely a long day... 

Pero excited na akong makita ulit si David, mahawakan, makausap. Namimiss ko na siya... 

It still bothers me though. Kung bakit sabi ni Joan, dahil daw sa akin kaya pinatulan ni David si Kevin. 

*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK* 

David's here....

A current rushed through my body as I tried to stand up to reach for the door. 

"Gaby?", a soft voice called my name from the opposite side of the door. It was really David.

I slowly opened the door and David peeked in, flashing his forever angelic smile at me. He was standing there, wearing his usual gray shirt and Levi's that fits his body perfectly, his hair was effortlessy sexy and so was his sharp jaw and eyes that were stinging mine.

Bago pa man magsalita si David ay pinigilan ko na ito, "Hep. Bago kita papasukin, paki-explain muna lahat" pagtataray ko. Sinigurado ko din namang may emphasis sa "lahat".

"Eh? I thought Ian told you everything! Just when I thought he saved me the trouble of explaining everything to you" nangamot ng ulo si David at akmang nalungkot ang mukha nito.

"Pero, sabi ni Joan... dahil daw yun sa akin" malungkot kong sabi.

Bigla namang kinuha ni David ang kamay ko, hinawakan niya ako ng mahigpit. Lumapit ito sa tenga ko sabay bumulong, "Masyado ka kasing maganda" malambing niyang sabi. I felt my right ear tickle when David whispered to my ear.

"Baliw ka!" sigaw ko, sabay batok sa kanya. David laughed.

"But seriously Gaby, you don't need to know" David reassured me, cupping his hands on my cheeks. I felt my face burned, and David grinned.

"You're tomato red right now, Gaby" David teased. Tinanggal ko kaagad yung kamay niya sa pisngi ko at tumalikod sa kanya. Damn it!

"Ay nako! Umalis ka na nga! 'Di ka naman makausap ng maayos eh" sigaw ko, sasarhan ko na sana siya ng pinto, but he rushed inside my room.

"Ayaw" he teased, while playfully running to my living room. Agad naman itong humiga sa sofa ko at pinaglaruan ang blanket ko.

I growled out of frustration.

"Akala ko ba na-miss mo ko?" he teased me more. He chuckled and lied down my sofa once again.

Lumapit ako sa likod ng sofa at tinitigan si David na nakatingin lang sakin, "Still..." ungol ko.

Biglang sumeryoso ang mukha ni David at nawala ang sigla sa mukha niya. I sighed and gave up. Mukhang ayaw niya talagang sabihin sa akin eh.

Umangat na si David sa pagkakahiga niya at umupo. I sat beside him and he immediately cuddled me.

Pinatong ko ang ulo ko sa balikat niya, na ikinagulat naman niya. "Sige na nga, di na kita pipilitin" sabi ko sabay pikit ng mata ko. Okay lang kahit hindi ko na malaman kung bakit, I can always ask Ian anyway.

Ayaw kong masira itong gabi na 'to.

"Thank you" David said softly as he rested his head on mine.
