"We're going to yours?" I leaned forward.
"Yeah, why not? I've seen your place, you need to see mine?" He lifted his hand off the steering wheel to grab his cappuccino.
"Uh, well, the only time you were actually inside my apartment was when we were drink, so don't you think-"
"Why don't you want to come to mine?" Finn said, looking at the road.
"It's, it's not that I don't want to come to yours Finn-"
"Then what is it?" His voice had gone up a tone.
There was silence.
Finn gulped. "Are you scared of me, is that what it is?" He said.
There was silence.
"Fuck," Finn muttered. "Fray, listen to me! You need to know that I'm not going to hurt you!" He banged his hands against the steering wheel. "Mentally or physically! Do you get that?".y I flinched at his voice And he looked over at me. "Fray, please," he said, I looked into his eyes.
What seemed like anger before, had turned into desperation.
"I don't know Finn. I've known you for, what 3 days? And we're already kissing and showing affection when I hardly know anything about you!" I said, my voice becoming stronger.
"Pff, what about all that stuff your friend told you about me, what was it? I'm a, and I quote, good for nothing man whore who has sex with as many girls as he pleases before kicking them to the curb," Finn rolled his eyes. I couldn't believe he actually remembered that.
"You're such a big fat hypocrite! You told me not to be one of those girls who, judges a book by its cover! You taught me to be different, to be better, in the space of 2 minutes! Fuck me being scared of you, because I'm not! I'm not!" I shouted, restraining on the seatbelt.
"I don't understand what you want Fray! Why don't you want to come to mine, huh!" I said, his voice incredibly loud.
"Pull over," I said.
"What?"
"Pull over," I repeated.
"Not until you answer my question, Fray."
"You can't tell me what to do, Finn! You don't have some fucking, authority over me! Now pull over before I fucking jump out whilst you're moving," I retorted.
Finns knuckles were white over his fresh cuts, clenching onto the wheel. I could almost imagine his bones tearing though the weak scabbed skin. His jaw was taught. I could see he was trying his hardest not to shout back at me.
Finn drove the car to the left, pulling over next to the curb.
I pulled off my seatbelt, slipping my shoes back on and grabbing my bag and coffee.
"Fray. Wait, Fray-" he grabbed my arm, but I shoved his away.
"At least tell me why you don't want to come them!" He said.
I stopped, hand on the door handle.
"You don't want to know, trust me," I said, through gritted teeth.
"Fray."
I turned round to look at him, fuming. "I'm on my fucking period, Finn! And I don't have enough fucking tampons to come to yours!"
I threw the door open, angrily jumped down, stumbling from the fall as Finn was not there to catch me, and stormed off down the street. Embarrassment flooded my mind, and I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks.
A few moments later I heard a door open and slam behind me, and footsteps on the concrete.
"Fray! Fray, wait!" It was Finn. I quickened my pace.
The street wasn't that busy, a few people dotted along the pathway, so we weren't making a scene.
"Fray! Please!" His voice was louder, which resulted in me breaking into a slow run. I was determined to get as far away from his as possible. I adjusted the strap of my bag on shoulder, ensuring it wouldn't fall off as I ran.
"Fray! Stop, stop..." I turned a corner, his voice being drowned out, but quicker evenly' paced footsteps taking its place. He was running after me.
"Fray PLEASE! I'm sorry! IM SORRY, Fray! I was being a dick, and I didn't think before I spoke and if I could turn back time and change it then I would but-"
I spun round, the wind whipping the strands of hair surrounding my face around, my glossy dark eyes pinning his piercing green ones.
"But you can't! You can't turn back time! So just leave it, because nothing you ever say or so, will make that conversation disappear!"
"Fray-"
"If you want this relationship, or, whatever this is," I gestured between us. "To work, then you're going to have to stop taking control, and let me speak for once! I know you're used to getting everything you want because you're the leader of this massive gang in London and you, rule the streets, or whatnot as people gasp in terror when they hear you name, but I don't see you as that person! I see you as a kind, intelligent, loving, humorous, beautiful man who's confused and lost and doesn't know where he is! I see you as someone who needs to be found, Finn! And I'm trying to find you, I am, Finn! So cut the shit and start letting me speak!" I finished, breathless after my rant.
Finn and I were stood about 10 metres apart. His hands hung out his pockets, t-shirt sticking slightly to his torso, probably after running. I was able to make out a few more shapes on the skin of his arms, small tattoos, like he told me. His irises shone in the sun, the bright light bringing out the green and gold.
I could imagine what I looked like. Face red, hair sticking to my forehead, coat falling off my shoulder. Pathetic.
Finn slowly walked towards me. I let him, I didn't move.
"Fray, are you okay?" He asked, his fingers lightly touching mine.
I sighed heavily and leaned into his chest. His arms wrapped around my back.
"I'm sorry, I overreacted, it's my fucking hormones playing up, I hate fucking periods," I said, my voice muffled against his chest.
His grip tightened against me. "Heyyyy, it's okay, don't blame yourself, it was me, it was all me," he soothed.
"I hate being a girl, life is too hard," I said.
"I know how you feel," he said.
"Oh really? You know what blood falling from your fucking vagina on a monthly basis feels like?"
"Too much information, Fray," he chuckled. I looked up at him, smile on his face. "You better now," he asked, lightly stroking my cheek, leaving sparks behind from his touch. I nodded.
"C'mon, let's go," he said, taking my hand, and once again leading me to his car. When we got to the street, I noticed Finn had left his car on a main road.
"I thought you didn't like leaving your car on main roads?" I asked.
"I had to come after you," he said. I smiled, looking down. "I know you're smiling," Finn said, not even turning around.
"Urgh, shut up," I said. "We can go to yours if you want, we'll just have to stop off at petrol station on the way there."
"Are you sure?" Finn said, helping me into the passenger seat.
"Yeah, let's go," I decided.
"Whatever you say," Finn winked. He got into the drivers seat, and buckled up before his phone started ringing. He looking at the caller id before mumbling a quick sorry, and bringing the phone to his ear. "What's happening Zayn?" He expression changed to confusion. "What?" Anger. "What are you talking about!?" Worry. "What do you mean Jack's gone missing?"

You'll learn to love my cliffhangers, I promise. Some Finn and Fray tension (someone think of a ship name for me) in there.
Seriously Finn, you try having a fucking period.
