I turned around, and started running to the door.
"Fray, wait!" Finn shouted behind me.
"What?" I replied, spinning round. He was chuckling, what part of this was funny?
"Relax, I called them up whilst you were asleep, said you'd be there by 11, you're not late," He said.
I felt like a great had been pushed off my shoulders. "And you were going to tell me this when exactly?" I asked.
"I'm sorry, I forgot!" He said, rasing his arms up as a sign of surrender.
"I swear, I will strangle you if you ever scare me like that again!" I exclaimed, pointing my fingers at him.
"It's just, what, 2 hours Fray, what's so bad about that!" Finn said, stepping closer to me.
"I need this pay, I need it for Uni next year, and if I don't go, they don't pay me!" I explained the harsh rules of working at Fusion, but on the upside, I got free coffee.
"That's stupid," He scoffed.
"How did you even get their number?" I said, pointing my finger at him.
"There is a something called the internet Fray, ever heard of it?" He sniggered.
I ignored his comment. "And they just let me off, they just said it was okay for me to be late?" I continued.
"Yeah, I told them that Fray wasn't going to be able to make it until 11, because she got caught up in something," He said.
"Who picked up?"
"A guy." Dan.
"Fuck, Dan, I need to go now, he's probably broken down without me there," I said, repeating my actions and racing down the stairs into Finn's apartment, retreiving my rucksack off the floor and running to lift.
"Hey, wait," he shouted
I smirked, "Let me guess, you want to drive me?"
"I'm wouldn't let you go by yourself, that would be ungentlemanly," he said, grabbing his keys off the counter and pressing the button for the lift.
With his back to me, I took a look at what he was wearing. Light blue cut offs and a navy and white striped T-shirt. As he pressed the button his shirt slid up, revealing his CK briefs. Smiling, I noticed the tattoo on the back of his neck peaking through the T-shirt, and walked towards him, intending to finally find out what it was whilst we waited for the lift.
Surprised by my touch, Finn's head turned 90 degrees so he was able to see my through his peripheral vision, but not all the way.
"No one's ever been able to creep up on me like that," he said.
"No have superpowers," I replied
I pulled his shirt down. A feather, curling outwards, slowly deteriorating in swallows on the edge.
I brushed my fingers against it, easing goosebumps on Finn's skin.
"What does it mean?" I said, just as the lift doors opened. Finns shrugged my hands off, walking into the lift.
"Maybe I'll tell you another time," he said.
I walked into the lift, but before I had taken one step in, Finn's hand grabbed mine and he twirled me softly into his gentle arms, grinning down at me. I leant my head into his chest as his arms encircled my waist, and soon we were slowly dancing to the calming beat of the music.
"Cheesy as fuck," I said, against his chest.
"Admit it, you love the cheesiness," his fingers traced patterns on the skin I between my shorts and jumper, leaving a fiery sensation that disappeared as soon as his they left. I frowned, but realised the lift doors had opened, and Finn was walking me out, his hand clasping mine.
I worked out that the apartment complex had converted the basement into a massive underground car park.
We soon reached his range rover.
"How come your car is here? Didn't you leave it at the warehouse?" I asked.
"Jack must have brought it back, I left it at his apartment when I went to see him," he said, opening the car door for me.
"Was he okay?" I continued, after he had got in himself.
"Yeah, just something with Ella, but they're fine now," he replied, starting the engine. I slipped my rucksack off my back, and chucked it in the footwell.
That was when I noticed the sports car next to the rover with the number plate, FFH 1 on it.
"So you are one of those guys who has many cars?" I grinned.
"Yeah, just not the swimming pool and sauna," he said.
"Don't you think its weird how I haven't properly met your brother, but I've met your friends?" I said.
"Are you saying you want to meet my brother?" Finn smiled, whilst pressing a button on his keys which enabled the garage door to open.
"I don't know, maybe," I said, picking at my finger nails.
"We could go for dinner tonight if you want, with Jack and Ella," he suggested.
"Finn, one date and I'm already meeting your family," I said sarcastically.
I looked over at Finn, thinking I would find him smiling, but found the opposite. His mouth was a tight line.
"I don't want you to ever meet my family Fray," he growled.
I gulped, there was something Finn wasn't telling me about his past, and fair enough, there was a lot I hadn't told him.
I decided to break the silence. "What's in that room, next to the balcony?" My curiosity was taking over me.
Finn hesitated. "I like to take photos, you know, a hobby. I produce them from film in there, that's why it's blacked out, I'll show you," he explained.
"That's cool, I've never been much of a photographer," I said, turning on the radio.
"Any hobbies?" He said, fishing out his sunglasses from the console.
"Um, I like to stare at how beautiful I am in the mirror," I said.
"Sounds like fun," he sniggered.
"I don't know why you're laughing, I'm being serious," but in reality, I was trying really hard not to laugh.
I fiddled with the dial, until a song finn recognised came on.
"Oh no wait, I like this song," he said.
"Why is this even playing?" I reached for the dial, but Finn pushed my hand away.
"Sssh, it's getting to the chorus," he said, and before I could stop him, Finn was belting out the chorus at the top of his lungs.
"Let it go! LET IT GO! Can't hold it back anymore!!"
"Finn please stop," I pleaded.
He carried on.
"How do you even know this-"
"HERE I STAND, AND HERE I'LL STAY!" It was horrendous.
"Oh my god, Finn please, you're actually hurting my ears," I groaned.
I was amazed at how he could go from being so angry, to so happy the next moment. I guess that was just the nature of being Finn Harries.
The song had finished, I was very grateful.
"That was dreadful," I said.
I played with the radio. "Thanks," he snorted.
A song I liked came on. MugShot, by Max.
"Now this, is a good song," I said, turning it up.
"Oh yeah?"
"It's one of those songs, you blast it from your car, windows down, and when the chorus comes you just look you cool, you know?" I said.
"Yeah, I know what you mean," he sniggered at me. "Am I allowed-"
"Sssh, it's getting to the chorus," I mimicked him.
"Yeah whatever," he looked at the window, his sunglasses perched on his nose.
The chorus dropped.
"C'mon, you're lying to me if you tell me you don't feel the least bit cool," I titled my head at him.
"Okay, fine, maybe I feel a little cool," he admitted.
I smirked. "Knew it."
The song ended and before I knew it, Finn was screeching out the chorus of We Are Young.
"Not again," I moaned. I dropped my head into my hands and dramatically said, "Kill me now."
"You're just jealous of my amazing singing," he challenged.
It was not long before I joined in with him, to prove him wrong. Finn's attempts at harmonise failed miserably, and he sunk back into his chair.
"You've got a nice voice," he said.
I rolled my eyes. "Hardly."
"I was very intimidated."
I gasped, "Finn Harries? Intimidated? I don't think so."
"You're changing me, Fray, for the better," he said. I couldn't tell whether it was sarcastic, or truthful.
I looked at his hands, one firmly held the wheel, the other sat on the open window. There were no fresh cuts.
"You didn't go out last night?" I questioned.
"No, actually I didn't," he looked at me. "Because you came."

Hey guys!!
I'm really sorry for the wait, you can blame my stupid school and their stupid timetable and blah.
I update on Monday, and I wrote a short chapter, but if didn't sync properly and when I published it completely deleted like 3/4 of it, and I didn't realised till like today, so sorry about the confusion over that.
Raise your hand if you're excited for the askjack.
*raises both hands*
Sooo, is Finn changing for the better, or worse, and what photos do you think are in his photo room????
Listen to Mugshot by Max, it's amazing, it reminds me of Harry styles and it's not good.
