        CHAPTER THREE

AFTER GETTING READY for another day to school, Breana slipped out of her room and headed downstairs for breakfast, she noticed that Brendon was missing, looking around she turned to her dad curiously.

"Dad, where is Brendon?"

Caleb, their dad, looked up from the newspaper he was reading, "Good morning to you too, sweetie."

"Sorry," Breana said sheepishly, grabbing a bowl, "Morning guys."

Ben smiled at his older sister, "Good morning."

"So...Brendon?" Breana asked again, pouring herself a cereal.

"He said he was going to some wood shop with Jeremy for a project." Caleb answered, going back to his newspaper. Breana put down the cereal and raised an eyebrow at her dad, looking at him incredulously, Caleb once again, glanced up from his newspaper and at his daughter, sighing, "There is no wood shop, is there?"

Breana shook her head and sat next to her younger brother, shoving a spoonful of cereal in her mouth, "You seem to be glowing today, Bree." Ben commented, observing his sister as he finished his bowl, standing up and putting it in the dishwasher.

"Am I?" Breana asked, chuckling, "I don't know, I feel different today." She shrugged, smiling, remembering last night when Stefan came over.

Caleb raised an eyebrow at her, "Is there a boy?"

"What?" Breana scoffed, "Dad."

"What?" Caleb repeated, rolling his eyes, "I'm just asking."

Breana shook her head, "Can't I be happy just because I feel like it?"

"Not really, no." Ben muttered as Breana glared at him.

"Not helping, brother." She said, finishing her cereal, "Come on, grab your bag, we're going to be late." Breana stood up and put her bowl in the dishwasher, giving her dad a kiss on the cheek, "Stop reading the newspaper, dad, you'll be late too."

Caleb smiled at her in appreciation, "Don't worry, I'm almost done here. And I know my time, sweetie."

"Alright," Breana said, "We'll be going now."

"Okay, drive safely please." Caleb called out as Breana grabbed Ben's arm and dragged him to their garage, so they can finally get in the car and get to school.

In history class, Tanner was yet again rambling about the Mystic Falls history, Breana wasn't paying any attention to his as she turned her head subtly to look at Stefan, who was already looking at her. They started smiling at each other and Breana has this wide closed smile as butterflied seem to be flying in her stomach.

"Originally discovered nearly five centuries ago, it hasn't been over Mystic Falls in over one hundred and forty five years. Now, the comet will be its brightest right after dusk during tomorrow's celebration." Tanner lectured and noticed Breana and Stefan were giving each other googly eyes as he was teaching his lesson, "Are we bothering you, Mr. Salvatore? Ms. Peterson?"

Breana and Stefan's smiles dropped as they turned to their teacher, the younger brunette shook her head and sunk down in her seat, flushing by the attention the class was giving them.

The bell rang and they all filled out of their classroom, Breana and Stefan started walking together and the vampire was showing her a book.

"I brought it." Stefan said, handing her the book, "Told you."
