CHAPTER SEVEN
STEFAN PEEKED THROUGH the cellar in their basement, Damon was lying on the floor, almost desiccating, his lips were dry. He turned his head to the side, trying to look at Stefan, "Where is my ring?" He asked; his voice hoarse.
"Won't be needing it anymore." Stefan said, looking at his brother through the bars.
Damon groaned, thirsty for blood, "How long have I been here?"
"Three days." Stefan answered.
"What are you doing?" Damon asked, trying to sit up.
Stefan simply stood there from the opposite side of the door, watching his brother, "During the dark ages when a vampire's actions threatened to expose or bring harm upon the entire race, they would face judgment. They sought to reeducate them rather than to punish them."
"You know what will happen if I don't..." Damon cut himself off, finding it hard to breath as simply talking was taking his breath away too quick, "feed on blood."
"You'll grow weaker and weaker. Eventually you won't be able to move or speak. In a week your skin will desiccate and you'll mummify." Stefan mused, tilting his head, "A living corpse—unable to hurt anyone. Ever."
Damon smirked weakly, "So what—you're just going to leave me in the basement forever?"
"I've injected you with enough vervain to keep you week. Once your circulation stops, I'll move you to the family crypt and then in fifty years, we can reevaluate." Stefan said.
"I'm strong than you think." Damon snarled weakly.
"You always have been." Stefan agreed, "But you're not strong than the vervain and we both know it. I'm sorry, didn't have to be this way." The younger Salvatore muttered, shaking his head. Damon was incredibly stubborn; he knew that, that was why it had to come to this.

Breana was at her house with Jeremy, they were hanging out in her bedroom as they lied next to each other on her bed. Jeremy called her earlier, telling her that he would come over to they could hang out and he wanted to make up for the times he was being an ass towards her.
"So, how's it going with Vicki?" Breana asked teasingly, her head facing Jeremy.
"We had a sleepover last night." Jeremy smirked.
Breana gasped, laughing loudly, "Oh, you!" She exclaimed, "Are you two official then?"
Jeremy scrunched his face, "I don't think so." He said, "I didn't really get a chance to ask her..."
Breana smirked at him again, "Yeah, you two were probably very busy screwing each other."
Jeremy laughed and softly punched Breana's arm, "I hate you."
"Liar!" Breana exclaimed, "You love me!" She giggled, "So, did Elena see Vicki?"
The younger Gilbert rolled his eyes, "She did."
"And...?"
Jeremy shrugged his shoulders, "I really don't care what she has to say." He sighed, groaning a little, "All she's ever done is scold me for using drugs and fighting Tyler over Vicki."
Breana smiled at him softly, "Well, I know that you have a different way of grieving than Elena and I don't think she gets it because even I don't understand it." She said, giving Jeremy a look as she was referring to Brendon, "But, she's your older sister, she's just looking out for you." Breana said, "Just like how I'm looking out for you and Brendon, even though I'm younger than him."
