CHAPTER TEN

STEFAN WAS ASLEEP in their living room, the book falling off his lap to the floor disrupted his peaceful slumber. He sleepily sat up, carefully bending down to get his book. He stood up, placing the book on the chair he was sitting on as he stretched a little when he heard a noise inside the house.

He turned and looked around the house, slowly walking forward when he heard another noise by the window. He stopped and walked towards the window, noticing it was open, he closed it.

There was another loud whoosh as he walked down the small stairs leading to their parlor; the whoosh was obvious someone using their vampire speed.

Stefan looked up and called out, "Damon?"

He turned around and a figure passed him with their vampire speed, he frowned in puzzlement when suddenly he was pushed down on the floor, he fell on his from and he flipped on his back and a blonde vampire sneered at him, her fangs elongated and veins under her eyes.

Stefan looked at her in astonishment, "Lexi?"

Lexi retracted her fangs and smiled sweetly at Stefan, sitting up, "Hi."

"What are you doing here?" Stefan asked as Lexi pulled them both up to their feet.

"How could you even ask that?" Lexi asked, looking at him incredulously.

Stefan chuckled, wrapping his arm around Lexi, hugging her, "I missed you."

They pulled away and Lexi smiled at him again, "Happy birthday."

After hanging out with Lexi in his house for a little while, Stefan decided to leave her at his home for the meantime because he needed to go to Breana's. He arrived at her house and went up her porch stairs, knowing on her door and frowned when it opened as he knocked.

The door was open and when he went inside the house, he noticed that nobody was home. Stefan looked around in worry, did someone break in?

Stefan closed the door behind him and went upstairs, opening the door that says "Brendon, Ben and dad are not allowed inside." He smiled in amusement and went in to see Breana sleeping under her sheets.

He let out a relieved sigh and sat on the bed, shaking Breana awake as she snored. He pulled down the sheets, showing her face as she slept with her mouth open and a little drool slipping out of her mouth.

Stefan chuckled at her, brushing her hair off her face, shaking her gently, "Come on, Bree, wake up." He said making her groan and turn on her side so he was facing her back, Stefan smiled, "Bree." He whispered.

"Leave me alone," She said groggily, "I wanna sleep." She muttered, squeezing her eyes closed, trying to tune out Stefan and the thought of him being next to her in her bed made her wide awake.

"Come on, Breana." Stefan said, grabbing her shoulder making her lay on her back, "Wake up."

Breana opened her eyes, looking at Stefan tiredly, narrowing her eyes as it was still adjusting from the bright shine of the sun from her window, "Hi."

"Good morning." Stefan said, smiling at her, "It's already noon and you're still sleeping."

"Well, I had a rough night." She grumbled, "Why are you waking me up? Is there something wrong again?" She groaned.

Stefan sighed, "No." He answered, "But the Gilberts are at the Sheriff's office right now, talking about Vicki's disappearance."

Breana's eyes opened wide and she sighed, "Oh."
